An early 20th Century foliate inlaid mahogany salon side cabinet, the cornice pediment over a central mirror backed alcove with pierced acanthus frieze over a bow-fronted cabinet and frieze drawer, flanked by a glazed door at either side and united by a stretcher shelf below, height 193cm and width 140cm.
An Art Nouveau mahogany salon side cabinet, the upright section with a small galleried shelf, inlaid panel and two shallow mirror panels above a central panel inlaid with a foliate design and flanked by two bevel-cut glazed doors, all above a shaped apron and square tapered legs united by a stretcher shelf, height 171cm and width 123cm, S/D.

A pair of Howard button back armchairs in pale gold foliate patterned upholstery, raised on turned and ringed front legs to brass caps and castors, one chair with mahogany reading slope on a brass arm (with option to put in either arm rest), back leg stamped "Howard & Sons Ltd, Berners St" and No'd. "15623 5396" to the rear right leg, the second chair stamped "Howard & Sons Ltd, Berners St" and No'd. "2678 D307" to the rear right leg, castors stamped "Howard & Sons Ltd London", 73.5 cm x 90 cm CONDITION REPORTS Chair with reading slope - reading slope top is warped. There is a large scratch running from one corner to approx 10 cm. There is a large scrape along the top edge. There are a couple of dark (possibly burn) marks to the top. The hinges appear to be replacements as they do not fit properly and there is a repair to the wooden shelf where the brass book support goes in on one side. The brass support handle has pitting and discolouration. The brass hole covers do not fit flush to the upholstery. The chair legs have knocks and dents, especially to the front legs and there are cracks in the tops. Brass caps have scrapes and pitting and discolouration. The screws appear to be replacements and have rusting. The second chair - legs are in similar condition. Both chairs have general wear and tear conducive with age and use.
