A Victorian marble topped pot cupboard, with barrel front, the door opening to reveal a shelf, stamped C Hindley & Sons 134 Oxford Street London 29478, 16ins x 15ins, height 28.5insIt is believed this lot was acquired from Witley Court sale in 1938 - possibly lot 77. Charles Hindley and Sons were commissioned by William Humble Ward the 1st Earl of Dudley. The Earl was within the circle of friends of the Prince of Wales, later King Edward, who retained what was known as the Kings Suite at the court. See lot 27

A former West London antiques dealer (1940 - 2019) these items came from his personal collection at his home on Gugh Island, Isles of Scilly.
