A 17th Century Carved Oak Court Cupboard. The upper section having a moulded top with marquetried frieze raised on bulbous cup & cover posts enriched with carved acanthus & gadrooning, flanking a canted cupboard. The central cupboard door and arcaded side panels carved with foliate decoration and set in a framework of dogtooth inlay. The lower section housing a long frieze drawer adorned with a chain of strapwork and standing on bulbous supports echoing the upper posts, with an open shelf to the base. 47¼ ins (120 cms) high, 47½ ins (121 cms) wide, 18¾ ins (47.5 ms) deep.
A 19th Century Gothic Revival Dressoir. The richly carved cupboard doors hung on long shaped strap hinges. The two drawers carved with overlapping scrolls of ornate foliage. The open carved base having a linenfold panelled back above a single base shelf raised on stile feet. 69 ins x 51½ ins x 21½ ins (176 cms x 131 cms x 55 cms).
A Carved 16th Century Renaissance Style Dressoir dated 1737. The canted cupboard enriched with carved portrait heads amidst scrolls of foliage and divided by baluster pilasters adorned with strings of beads and foliage. The frieze fitted with a central drawer and raised on carved supports leading down to a moulded base shelf with three Romayne panels to the back, 53½ ins (136 cms) high, 45 ins (114 cms) wide, 25 ins (63.5 cms) deep.
A Small Early 16th Century Franco Flemish Dressoir. The cupboard having a central Romayne panel door carved with a protuberant head in roundel amidst scrolls of foliage and mounted on iron strap hinges with a sprung iron lock. The frieze fitted with a drawer carved with undulating scrolls of foliage and raised on tall stop fluted stiles with and shelf below, 53 ins (135 cms) high, 34 ins (86 cms) wide, 18 ins (46 cms) deep.
A 17th Century & Later Three Tier Oak Buffet. The top with moulded edge above a nulled frieze raised on baluster turned posts leading down to a mid shelf and on to a base shelf, with run moulded stile supports to the rear, 45½ ins (115.5 cms) high, 49 ins (124.5 cms) wide, 18 ins (46 cms) deep.
A 17th Century Oak Overmantle in the Laudian Taste decorated with facetted appliqués and strapwork and having an applied cartouche with central oval cabochon dated 1612 below a winged angel's head and demi-lune of radial fluting. The turned side columns with carved Corinthian style capitals and brickwork bases leading down to a shelf on lions' head corbels, 60 ins )152 cms) high, 46 ins (117 cms) wide.
A 17th Century & Later Court Cupboard. The upper section having a lunette carved frieze housing two drawers above a canted cupboard flanked by bulbous cup & cover posts. The central door adorned with a face mask appliqué; the side panels carved with foliate S-scrolls and flower heads and set in chip carved framework. The lower section fitted with a long frieze drawer on cup & cover supports leading down to a raised base shelf, 50½ ins (128 cms) high, 47 ins (120 cms) wide, 16 ins (41 cm) deep.
A 19th Century Gothic Revival Oak Cupboard. The top section having linenfold panelled doors to the sides and three front panels ornately carved with knights clutching shields beneath Gothic tracery arches divided by spire finialled columns embellished with cusps of foliage. The lower section having three doors bearing iron lockplates, the central panel carved with a female figure. The open base shelf raised on block feet 62 ins (158 cms) high, 51 ins (130 cms) wide, 19 ins (48 cms) deep.
A 17th Century Joined Oak Credence Table. The canted top folding out to form an octagonal, above a gadrooned frieze inlaid with marquetry banding and raised in turned legs with reeded knops and a conforming gate to the back, leading down to a base shelf with faceted carving to the rails, 31 ins (79 cms) high, 39 ins (99 cms) wide, 19 ins (48 cms) deep.
A 17th Century Italian Monks' Refectory/Reading Table The single plank top with length-wise cleat above three central barley-twist columns on carved sledge supports joined by a bold barley-twist stretcher. One side fitted with under-shelf compartments, 29 ins (74 cms) high, 10 ft 3 ins (312 cms) in length, 26 ins (66 cms) wide.
A 19th Century French Renaissance Style Oak Dressoir. The canted cupboard carved in relief with protuberant heads encircled by laurel wreaths amidst zoomorphic scrolls of foliage. The centre door hung on iron strap hinges above a frieze drawer flanked by pendant finials and raised on carved uprights with a triple linenfold panelled back leading down to a pot shelf base, 65½ ins (167 cms) high 39½ ins (100 cms) wide, 22 ins (6 cms) deep.
A late 19th century French amboyna, ebonised and gilt metal mounted side cabinet, surmounted by pierced galleries, the central mirrored recess flanked by two cupboard doors, the single drawer below fitted with sliding scriber, flanked by two further drawers, over a mirror backed two shelf undertier, the whole decorated throughout with hand painted Sevres-style plaques, depicting Madam Dubarry and Madam De Montesson and floral sprays, on turned supports (56cm x 135cm x 153cm). Condition Report: Overall condition very good, colour good, plaques good colour, brassware good, has a few small dents 9-9½/10
