A Chinese Ebonised and Parcel Gilt Wedding Cabinet, late 19th/early 20th century, the two cupboard doors painted with figures amongst pagodas in a landscape with a circular brass lockplate enclosing a shelf and two small drawers, the base with a hollow internal compartment, on stile feet joined by an arched stretcher110cm by 50cm by 172cmSome shrinkage splits throughout, particularly to the doors (as photographed). There is also a patch repair to the left-hand door. The top corner has some scuffs to the sides. There are various small paint losses throughout. There is some overpainting in places. The interior is reasonable, with general scuffs and bruises around the shelves and drawer fronts etc.

A small oak cupboard bookcase or miniature dresser - the stepped, ogee moulded cornice over four open shelves, above a pair of arched panelled doors with Art Nouveau style handle, enclosing a single shelf. (LWH 71 x 27 x 157.5 cm)* The board to the top of the cornice is slightly warped to the left hand end. A few small nicks and scuffs to the edges from use. The right hand door has a long shallow chip to the top of the moulded edge. The left hand door is currently detached and it has a damaged top hinge (pin missing) which needs replacing to re-affix.
A French Empire mahogany, marble and gilt-brass secrétaire à abattant - 19th century, the dark-grey marble top over a full width frieze drawer with gilt-brass cherub and chariot mount, above a fall front with gilt-tooled leather inset, enclosing a fitted interior with six drawers above and below an arched open shelf, above a three-drawer base flanked by half-columns, raised on column feet (LWH 95 x 40 x 138.5 cm). (Lacks key and fall front does not stay closed; veneer losses and scratches to fall around escutcheon.)

A Chinese red stained pine, lacquered and parcel-gilt three-piece compound cabinet - probably early 20th century, the two-door upper section with a pair of panelled doors carved with a crane and deer, above a central section with lift-off panelled front carved with a bird on a branch of blossom around a large, chased and pierced brass lock-plate, the two panel doors to the base carved with flowers and auspicious objects, with decorative brass fittings and swing handles to the sides, enclosing two small drawers over an open shelf (the original shelf missing). A fine quality late-Victorian Arts & Crafts style honey oak breakfront secretaire library bookcase - of imposing proportions, the balustrade cornice over a pair of bevelled mirrored doors enclosing three adjustable shelves, above an open shelf with mirrored back, flanked by glazed bookcases each side with three adjustable shelves fringed with gilt tooled leather, over a base with central secretaire drawer with well fitted interior, over an open single fixed shelf beneath, flanked by short drawers above three panel mirrored doors to each side, on a plinth base with short bracket feet. (LWH 184 x 55 x 265 cm) * Provenance: Beckwith & Son, Hertford, Herts, c.2002 * Condition: Good, very original condition overall and very solid structure. Good even colour and surface with no fading. Locks, glass and mirrors all original. The original leather shelf edge fringes are worn and two have a split to the leather. The leather to the interior writing surface is quite worn and has a split across the fold of the fall-front. Small chip to right hand corner of the breakfront section of the base section top. Some old marks and scratches throughout but none unsightly.
