Pulitzer Prize-winner Caen's column for the San Francisco Chronicle was an essential compendium of the goings-on, gossip and diversions of San Francisco. The notes are both addressed to a Korki Dunbar, thanking them for ("Korki, that's a beaut!") for tips for the column.

A 19th century painted French Louis XVI pair of bedside cabinets. The cabinets being raised on scroll terminal feet supporting upright pedestals comprising locker cupboard door and a single pot cupboard with door and shelf. Both painted cream finish with gilded highlights. Gilt metal ormolu mounted handles. Measures approx. 72 x 40 x 40cm.
