Cars Stora Billexikon. A rare and complete set of 36 small quarto (27 x 19 1/2cm) hardbound volumes, comprising an A-Z lexicon of international car marques from the veteran period up to the 1970s. The covers are in black buckram with gilt lettering/decoration, each volume having colour photographic endpapers, and the set running to a total of 2877 pages. Extremely well illustrated with colour and monochrome photographs, including numerous period images, together with many line drawings. Published in Scandinavia, so with a foreign language text including a multitude of historical and technical information. The lot also includes variant copies of volumes 9 and 12. The volumes are slightly dusty from shelf storage, and there is a small tear to the spine of volume 21, but otherwise all appear to be clean and sound. (38)

Wahrheiten und Träume, Nachforschungen und Bilder, vom Verfasser Lienhardts und Gertrud, 1st edition, Frankfurt & Leipzig: Auf Kosten des Verfassers, [1783], final blank present, some browning to first and last leaves including title, circular German ink library stamp and withdrawn stamp and manuscript shelf numbers to title-page, contemporary half calf gilt, gilt stamp to upper cover with monogram 'U', rubbed, some corner wear, upper joint cracked, 8vo in this influential treatise Pestalozzi considers how young women who commit infanticide should be dealt with. In his analysis Pestalozzi questioned the unjust laws that fostered infanticide, called for the abolition of the law that prohibited the very poor from marrying, demanded the criminal prosecution of deserting fathers, and the help of the state for unmarried women who gave birth.
