A late 18th century North Italian walnut concave front kneehole desk with crossbanding and orangewood stringing the fixed raised back pigeon holes to a central frieze slide with replaced leather surface above a drawer flanked by two drawers and a pair of cupboard doors enclosing a shelf on carved cabriole legs 38in (96.5cm) h 51in (129.5cm) w 27in (68.5cm) d. The two frieze drawers were previously lockable with a peg through the base into the top of each cupboard.
