LUCINDA WILKINSON (BRITISH CONTEMPORARY), LARSON B ICE SHELF, NO2, FROM 'MOSAIC OF ANTARTICA - INTERNATIONAL POLAR YEAR' Kiln formed, sand blasted and etched glass panel 60cm x 92cm Unframed Note: Lucinda trained at both Wimbledon School of Art and Glasgow School of Art where she obtained a B A Hons degree in Sculpture and a MFA in Fine Art Sculpture. Much of her sculpture is inspired by the Landscape; looking at the rhythms and dimensions and energy of the land. In her glass work Wilkinson is committed to producing vibrant sculptural artworks which evoke strong environmental messages through the culmination of science/ art collaborative work with Polar Scientists which she hopes will serve as a wake up call for the preservation of the planet in the climate crisis we are all facing. Gothic revival limestone fire surround with hearth - crenel carved and torus moulded mantel piece sat on stepped arched apron with floral carved spandrels and oak leaf and acorn wreath surrounding shield plaque, carved column uprights, stone slab hearth, W161cm (mantel max), H130cm (minus hearth), aperture - H96cm, W99cm Condition Report & Further Details Small signs of good quality repairs of the mantle shelf and top section of surround. A few other areas of damage/chips from the edges and bottom many of these are with the lot ready to be reattached.
