A WALNUT CABINET ON CHEST, having a moulded cornice and a cushion drawer with oyster veneer to the frieze above two doors with rectangular and arched veneers, crossbanding and lines of boxwood stringing, the interior later fitted with a half-shelf and mirror lining, the associated lower section having three graduated drawers with brass back plates and swing handles, on ogee bracket feet, 124cm wide x 177cm (constructed from two associated parts, both 18th century with alterations)
AN ARTS & CRAFTS INLAID SATIN WALNUT BREAKFRONT CABINET THE DESIGN POSSIBLY GEORGE JACK FOR MORRIS & CO c1890, with patinated brass loop handles, pierced strapwork hinges and lock plates by Richard Llewellyn Rathbone (1864 - 1939) and inlaid in fruitwoods with elaborate scrolling floral work, chevron and ribbon banding, the cabinet now re-constructed to create a sideboard and a two-tier cabinet: THE BREAKFRONT SIDEBOARD with cushion moulded frieze above two door cupboard flanked by a single drawer to either side, on ten square tapered legs with spade feet joined by stretchers 189 cms wide THE CABINET constructed as a two tier cupboard, the upper section having two leaded glazed doors and side panels of interlocking stylised floral design within a `bullseye` border, the interior mirror and satinwood lined, above two conforming doors, the interior fitted with a satinwood shelf, on later legs, 90cms wide. See illustration NB it is thought that the original design would have been a breakfront superstructure formed as two glazed door cupboard flanked by a single glazed door to either side with ribbon inlaid uprights, above a mirror lined panel back with two square section front supports, on the breakfront lower section.
An eighteenth century oak tridarn with later additions, the canopy top section having a moulded cornice above partially spindled sides fronted by baluster turned posts with shelf. The recessed mid-section cupboard the central panel with carved inscription DP27, AN DO, 1737, the two other panels with ebonised and beech harlequin parquetry inset, and applied barley twist columns. The lower section incorporating three short drawers above two large cupboard doors. Raised on stile feet. 209cm high, 132cm wide, 58cm deep. Provenance: Removed from Ragdale Hall, Leics

An early 20th Century German stripped pine and spirit fired child`s cooker, with red painted metal mounts, the back fitted with a shelf above an oven and four-burner stove above a double cupboard, raised on block feet, height approx 43cm, width approx 26cm, together with a collection of saucepans, lids, etc (playwear).
A pair of Great Western Railway brass signal box shelf-edge plates, `To Pilning / Branch Box` and `From Pilning / Branch Box`, each 12cm long. Note: The original station at Pilning (south Gloucestershire) was opened by the Bristol & South Wales Union Railway in 1863 and was taken over by the Great Western Railway in 1868. A second station was built to serve a newly created line following the opening of the Severn Tunnel in 1886.
ALAN WALLWORK A group of five pieces by Alan Wallwork including; a small open topped crescent form with pierced holes, 16cm x 8.5cm, signed AW to base; a spherical form with outer crust glazed in ochres, greys and orange, with pierced inner form bursting through, 9.5cm diameter, signed AW to base; an ovoid bursting egg form built of two different clays, the outer form cracking to reveal the inner. This piece was stuck to the kiln shelf during firing and has consequently lost some of the original base. Sold with two extruded and altered vases, ash glazed c.1970s, incised W to base.
