A SUPERB QUALITY EDWARDIAN SATINWOOD INLAID BONHEUR DU JOUR believed to be EDWARDS & ROBERTS the top with a shaped back decorated with swags and an oval panel depicting cherubs, over a crossbanded shelf. Smaller shelf below flanked by small doors, ornately inlaid with ribbons, swags and trophies, harebell inlaid columns and a mirrored back. The base with a hinged writing surface, inlaid with a border of floral swags, griffins and an urn, rising to reveal a satinwood and green leather interior, brass hinges. Over a central frieze drawer inlaid with swags of harebells, flanked by narrow deeper drawers, inlaid with ribbons and swags with circular brass handles. Supported on square tapering harebell inlaid legs with vase feet and a shaped undertier with pierced brass gallery. 2ft 9ins wide, 3ft 9ins high, 1ft 8ins deep.
