A PAIR OF MAHOGANY BOOKCASE CABINETS IN GEORGE III STYLE LATE 19TH CENTURYEach 245cm high, 123cm wide, 49cm deep Condition Report: Although catalogued as a pair, it is clear from the second image online that there is variation to the two cabinets, one has glazed lower doors the other has wooden panels (wooden panels probably the original configuration). The glazed interior has green paint applied, this has chips and losses, also some tack marks where fabric has appeared to have been placed previously Both cabinets with marks, knocks, scratches, abrasions consistent with age and useOld splits and cracks, some chips and losses,Both cabinets are missing one small pane of glass to the upper doors, this would need to be sourced and replaced by the purchaser. One cabinet with old breaks and losses to the cornice central section, the elements are loose but present with the lot, these would need gluing and repair before use Each cabinet with later blocks to the underside of each shelf, this is to disguise a later fitted electric lamp - Please note these are sold as decorative items of furniture only and not as working electrical lamps - these would need to be rewired and tested by a professional electrician prior to use in a domestic setting. Some colour variation and fading across the two cabinets, Cabinet doors are openable but some have the locks engaged, overall would benefit from the purchaser sourcing keys to operate all locks fully. Please refer to additional images for visual reference to condition Condition Report Disclaimer
