An unusual Arabia pottery wall plate by Toini Muona, dated 1932, painted possibly with a self-portrait at the wheel, working on a low vase on the wheel, with two tall vases drying on a shelf behind and four low bowls glazed turquoise in the foreground, another female potter watching on, painted in colours painted Arabia and TM monogram, 25.5cm. diam.
18TH CENTURY WELSH SWANSEA VALLEY POTBOARD DRESSER, having three shelf open rack with moulded cornice and shaped sides on straight fronted, three drawer base with pierced, arch frieze on baluster turned supports to the potboard, with stile feet. 44 x 191 x 208cm.(B.P. 24% incl. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: Appearing in good clean condition overall with no obvious damage. Height from floor to top of base but not including raised back - 77 cm. No major staining, although some minor spots/lines. Top of base is flat overall, although some minor undulation. Overall shelves and top are not bowing.
19TH CENTURY OAK TWO STAGE POTBOARD DRESSER, the panelled two shelf rack back above three drawer base, carved frieze raised on stile type feet, 151 x 43 x 181cm.(B.P. 24% incl. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: Dresser has fair amount of wear and tear and is in need of a little love and attention, losses to extremities on drawers and potboard base, significant stains and marks to top of dresser base, some warping, losses to moulded cornice on the left side, chippings, scratches, surface wear all present, some losses to the slottings of the dresser top. Replacement handles, the rack may have been reduced at some point, looks a little low, a little dry overall and slightly faded in places.
EARLY 19TH CENTURY WELSH OAK POTBOARD DRESSER, having moulded cornice over shaped frieze to the two shelf, open rack back, the base with moulded edge over three frieze drawers with shaped aprons below, on ring turned, tapering supports to the platform base on stile feet. 153 x 48 x 192cm.(B.P. 24% incl. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: Rack may have been reduced, reasonable medium colour, splitting to upper surface of base, handles are replacements, fair condition, commensurate with age. Floor to base height 83 cm.
LATE 18TH/EARLY 19TH CENTURY OAK SWANSEA VALLEY POT BOARD DRESSER, having open two shelf, rack back above base, with configuration of five drawers above pierced frieze, raised on three front, turned supports, leading to pot board base, raised on square section, stile type feet. 153 x 43 x 182cm.(B.P. 24% incl. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: Rack back has had some alterations, repairs and is a little botched together at present, some replacement hooks, a little warped and the shelves are a little loose and 'smiling'. Gap showing on top of dresser, losses to moulded edges of many of the drawers, the three pot board panels are all loose, although appear mainly available. Front rail moulding on pot board base has a split and is cracked through, some staining to top of dresser. Floor to base height - 85 cm.
EARLY 19TH CENTURY OAK POTBOARD DRESSER having open three shelf rack with moulded cornice over pierced frieze, the moulded edged base with an arrangement of six short drawers, all having turned knobs above shaped apron with ring turned baluster supports and baluster feet. 47 x 162 x 13cm.(B.P. 24% incl. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: A little dry and lacking in patination, basically appearing sound.
18TH CENTURY AND LATER OAK RACK BACK DRESSER, the panelled two shelf rack back above three drawers and two blind panelled cupboards, raised on square section feet (a marriage). 153 x 56 x 184cm.(B.P. 24% incl. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: The dresser base looks to be originally a coffer with a later associated rack back added, in used and worn condition with splits to top of dresser and lots of scratches and marks, splits to blind panelled cupboard doors, back left leg missing, a little dry and faded in places, some losses to extremities.
EDWARDIAN EBONISED MAHOGANY DISPLAY CABINET, the central arched, bevel plate mirror flanked by two glazed doors with four velvet covered shelves, central cupboard and under shelf, having good quality carved, ornate, floral and foliate pierced and other decoration, standing on a separate matching potboard type stand, on cabriole legs and ball and claw feet. 40 x 152 x 240cm.(B.P. 24% incl. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: Generally good condition for age, all bevel plate and glass appears undamaged, some losses to mouldings and minor chips in places, minor wear commensurate with age, velvet material is rather faded, with some stains and wear in places.

VAT) CONDITION REPORT: Some wear in places, two panes of glass are cracked, losses in places to veneers, generally scuffs and wear commensurate with age but otherwise sound.

A GEORGIAN OAK DRESSER, mid 18th century, the boarded delft rack with moulded cornice over three shelves, the lower shelf with two drawers below and flanked on either side by a pair of ogee panelled cupboard doors, the base with three frieze drawers with brass drop handles, central ogee panel below flanked on either side by a similar cupboard door, panelled sides on stiles, 57" x 20 3/4" x 75 1/4" (Est. plus 21% premium inc. VAT)
A Regency rosewood small open bookcase, with marble top, turned columns, adjustable shelves and plinth base. Width 88 cm. CONDITION REPORT: Height 88 cm, shelf depth 13 cm, overall depth 18 cm at top and 15 cm at plinth. The marble top which appears later has been cracked from front to back and repaired. There is also a loss to the centre of the top of the marble approximately 2 cm in length and 3 or 4 mm deep. The brass foliate gallery beneath the marble is in generally good order with one split around the right hand corner which in our opinion is not problematic. The brass capitals are in good order as are both columns. The sides of the piece are in very good condition. The shelves are in good condition. The plinth base has some minor losses to the veneers. The shelves are not fully adjustable they could be moved but the side supports would need to be unscrewed and physically reattached.
A satin birch cupboard in the manner of Holland, with moulded cornice above a pair of panelled cupboard doors with wooden knob handle and raised on a plinth. Width 91 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: Depth 39 cm, width 91 cm, height 107 cm, shelf depth 31 cm. The cabinet is structurally sound. The top is in good order with no losses only minor old surface marks and scratches. The black dots are in the main paint splashes which remove when rubbed. The doors close as they should. They are not warped. The spring loaded catch operates as it should. The brass hinges are marked Horne Patent. The left hand door retaining brass slides operate as they should. The interior shelves are a little stained but perfectly serviceable. The sides of the piece are in good order. The backboards are original. The plinth base has minor nibbles around the corners and returns as one would expect.
A small Regency mahogany chiffonier, with rear shelved upstand, two drawers and pair of doors and raised on short turned legs. Width 59 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The pediment shelf, turned supports and top of the piece are in generally good condition with only minor surface scratches and old stress fractures to the veneers. The top is flat. The moulded edge to the top is all intact. The right hand drawer has a stress fracture to the veneer and a replacement lock escutcheon. There is also a small nibble to the top right hand corner. The left hand drawer similarly has a replacement lock escutcheon. We have both locks and keys. The doors are in generally good order with no warping. We have the lock and key. The sides of the cabinet are in generally good condition as is the plinth moulding and original feet. The backboards are original and in good order.
An Art Deco glass and chrome two tier trolley. Width 67 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The stand is structurally sound with no repairs, damage or restoration. The castors are original. The castor supports and wheels are showing slight signs of rust. The chrome plating is generally dirty but does not seem to have any losses. The mirrored shelves do not have any significant damage but do have minor edge and corner nibbles. Some of the paintwork to the underside is chipped and scratched. This is more evident when viewed from the top surface. One shelf has a nibble to one corner, a small chip to one side and several further small edge nibbles. The second tray has one small corner nibble and one small edge chip with various other very small nibbles, none of these in our opinion serious.
A Victorian mahogany open bookcase, with three quarter gallery, adjustable shelves and short turned feet. Width 123 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The right hand return section of the gallery is loose and there is an old loss of approximately 4 cm to the top rear right hand corner. The top shelf is in generally good condition with only the usual surface marks that one would expect. The crossbanded edge has minor veneer losses to the left hand return. The beaded moulding to the section below the top edge has approximately 8 cm missing on the right hand return. The sides of the bookcase are in good order. The backboards are original. The feet are in good condition and the piece is structurally sound with no evidence of any woodworm. Height to top of rear up stand 104.5 cm, depth at deepest point 29 cm, shelf depth 25 cm.
