An 18th Century oak cupboard, the moulded cornice above a bog oak and holly parquetry work banded frieze bearing ownership initials "JE" over two arched fielded panel doors with fan carved finials to the arches opening to reveal a single shelf over three small drawers flanked by quarter cut fluted side pillasters on a base of three short over two deeper drawers, all with brass swan neck handles raised on bracket feet 144 cm wide x 54 cm deep x 154.5 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Overall the piece appears sound. Top boards appear to be later additions though have been there some time judging by the colour and patination. There are some areas of loss to the drawer edging, right lower drawer has some cracks along the grain and right small drawer above it has crack top left and replacement section to the corner. There is a vertical split to the right hand side panel and to the left. Otherwise the piece could be described as having wear and tear conducive with age and use. Basically sound throughout.
