An early 19th Century elm chest, and a small pine cabinet with shelf above, together with a framed print and a bentwood chair CONDITION REPORTS Elm chest : basically sound and of good colour, though surface with some scratching and chipping (see images). Small pine cabinet : with extensive damage to left front foot and with various wear and tear conducive with age throughout. Print : modern and in reasonable condition, frame dirty and with some dents throughout.
An Edwardian mahogany three shelf display cabinet with satinwood inlay on straight legs to spade feet CONDITION REPORTS Overall with wear, scuffs, knocks and chips, some cracks to top, section of moulding missing to top of door, some slight warping to doors, some lifting and cracks to veneers and inlays, dirt and stains to fabric, glass to one side is broken and has sections missing, some losses to inlay and veneers, size approx. 88 cm wide x 148 cm high.

Part II This Smithsonian report, written by Thomas Donaldson, contains the significant ""George Catlin Indian Gallery"", which consists of numerous plates and two large folding maps: Indian Territory (32 x 24"") and Map Showing Indian Reservations within the Limits of the United States... (33 x 21""). The map of Indian Territory shows the allocation of land among 50 different Indian tribes and depicts 25 different regions, naming 7 more. A small portion of the panhandle is shown and labeled Public Lands. The map of the United States shows the network of Indian reservations primarily confined to west of the Mississippi. Includes inset maps of Indian Territory, southern California and Alaska. 939 pp., octavo, hardbound in brown cloth. Maps and text are clean, bright, and near fine. Report of the Superintendent of the United States Coast Survey, Showing the Progress of the Survey during the Year 1867 Very nice example of this publication detailing the progress of the Coast Survey in the year 1867. Contains numerous individual reports including a 142-page section on the Resources and Coast Features of Alaska Territory, a section on the resurvey of Galveston Bar and Harbor, Texas, and the obituary of Alexander Dallas Bache. Maps include Boston Harbor; New York entrance; Greenwich Bay, RI; Port of Newbern, NC; Straits of Florida; Galveston entrance; Tillamook Bay, OR; Puget Sound; Alaska; Sitka Harbor; and St. Paul, Kodiak Island to name a few. The four Alaska charts are among the earliest U.S. maps of Alaska following the purchase from Russia in 1867. Hardbound in brown cloth, 334 pp. with 27 maps and sketches. Maps are very good with some light toning along the folds, occasional faint offsetting, and a few spots of foxing. There are library stamps on the versos of most maps and Stanford library/Branner Geological library bookplates on the inside front cover marked withdrawn. Translated by Johan Adolf Ekelof and Clements R. Markham with a new introduction written by J. B. Post and a glossary of cities. Reproduces 169 of the most important maps printed before 1600, including the complete 1400 edition of Ptolemy. This is a wonderful reference atlas of significant maps. 141 pp., plus 102 plates. [Lot of 6] Etudes Geographiques This extraordinary and complete puzzle consists of six maps which are on the face of 30 wooden cubes. The cubes neatly fit into the original wooden box with decorative paper label on top. Included with the puzzle are the six sample maps to assist in putting the puzzle together. These guides lay in the top of the box, held in place with a woven white string. When assembled correctly, the cubes make the following maps of the continents: A. Amerique du NordB. Amerique du Sud C. Afrique D. Asie E. Australie & Oceanie F. Europe A rare cartographic curiosity that has survived very well given its purpose as a game. The puzzle pieces are good to very good with some light soiling and staining as to be expected. The sample maps have scattered foxing and soiling more prevalent in the maps of the Americas. EDWARDIAN INLAID MAHOGANY MIRROR DOOR BOW FRONTED THREE SECTION WARDROBE having arched broken pediment above centred bowed cupboard with two oval panelled blind doors over an open shelf with an arrangement of two short and three long drawers below, flanked by two oval bevelled glazed doors on a platform base. Circa 1910. 70" x 23" x 90" (196cm x 43cm x 236cm). CONDITION REPORT; Rather bleached and faded to one end. Section of side returned cornice is missing/detached. A little dry overall but basically sound with no obvious other serious damage.
EARLY 19TH CENTURY CARDIGANSHIRE WELSH OAK POT BOARD DRESSER HAVING MOULDED CORNICE over three shelf boarded rack back with hooks, the base with moulded edge top above three moulded edge frieze drawers with later turned knobs, on gun barrel front legs with pot board and style feet. Circa. 1830. 85" x 70" x 18" (214cm x 177cm x 46cm) CONDITION REPORT; Good original condition, medium colour with some patination, the boarded rack back has multiple layers of wall paper as was the tradition. Two return mouldings on the cornice are missing and there is moulding around the front of pot board and style feet which is also missing.

The pot board base with gun barrel turned supports on bracket feet. To be sold "fully dressed" on the instructions of the vendor to include extensive collection of 19th Century Swansea, Staffordshire and other dresser jugs, 19th Century Bailey and Harvey Staffordshire pottery floral decorated dinner service including six meat plates and eleven dinner plates, a further Staffordshire pottery "Botanical Beauties" pottery blue and white transfer printed dinner service comprising eleven medium dinner plates and twelve side plates, together with two Late 19th/Early 20th Century large Staffordshire painted and gilded white seated spaniels and a continental pottery two handled gilded and painted urn. The dresser circa. 1830. 63" x 16" x 87.5" (160cm x 40cm x 222cm) CONDITION REPORT; The dresser is in overall good condition with decent patination and fair medium colour. No obvious serious damage or losses. Some minor ware and tear.
VICTORIAN CARVED OAK WRITING DESK OVERALL WITH FOLIATE DECORATION and having two sets of raised short drawers to the back with centre shelf, inset leather writing surface, two frieze drawers standing on barley twist turned legs and stretcher with pad feet. Together with a pair of similar period carved oak upright single chairs with baluster and barley twist turned underframes and caned seats. Circa. 1885. Desk is 48" x 75" x 39" (122cm x 68cm x 99cm). (3) CONDITION REPORT; Overall appearing in good condition, no obvious damage or losses. The chairs are sound with good caning.
