Danish scientist and numismatist Georg Zöega (1755-1809) catalogued and described Cardinal Stefano Borgia's collection of coins and manuscripts in the Museo Borgiano, at the Borgia Palace of Velletri, a collection with a strong emphasis on ancient Egypt, regarded as the most extensive in Europe before the Napoleonic expedition.

Sequel to the well-received Ruins of Palmyra, presenting a study of Balbec's architectural ruins through an extensive series of plates, which Wood believed communicated the grandeur of the ancient city. Located in modern-day Lebanon, Balbec was once the Roman colony Heliopolis. Plate numbers present are 4-16, 18-40 & 43. Sold as a collection of plates, not subject to return.
A late Victorian oak smoker's cabinet, c1890, the hinged top lifting to reveal a provision for five pipes, open shelf above two small drawers, open recess for tobacco jar and further open recess, the front enclosed by a pair of foliate carved raised fielded panelled doors, skirted plinth, 26cm h x 28cm w; together with another late Victorian or Edwardian smoker's cabinet, the hinged lid and bevelled glazed front door opening to reveal recess for five pipes, provision for tobacco box and single drawer, skirted plinth, 28cm h x 20cm w; together with a large quantity of pipes including meerschaum block pipes, one numbered 9439, other pipes by Hardcastles, Rohan, Peterson's, Falcon, together with pipe stands, lighters by Falcon, Ben Wade and others, a brass oval tobacco box and hinged cover, the top engraved tobacco within a wriggle work border, 11cm w, etc Two smoker's cabinets in generally good condition consistent with age. Pipes mainly smoked, four unused, some with heavier wear, all generally consistent with age
