Console?: Height. 5 3/16 in.- Length. 59 15/16 in.- Width. 13 in.- Mirror?: Height. 30 in.- Width. 30 in. Historique?: La ligne ""Patchwork"" incluant cuivre et étain est la première série fabriquée par Directional Furniture en 1964, dont la première était justement une console avec un plateau d`ardoise et son miroir. Cette série Patchwork s`est développée avec le partenariat de la boutique Aquetong. The Patchwork line, with copper and pewter, was the first line introduced through Directional in.1964 and the first piece was a floating shelf with a slate top and mirror. The technique for the Patchwork line or the Copper, Bronze and Pewter series was developed at the Aquetong shop. For this series, Evans used sheet copper, bronzed sheet steel, and sheet copper covered with a wash of tin/lead solder respectively. The sheets were placed one on top of another and nailed to a plywood carcass, blackened slightly with potash, sanded, and varnished.
