Crowell, 1886.⁂ The first American edition, and the first to be published in English. This was published in variant bindings of olive green, blue and brown, of which there seems to be no established priority.

NO RESERVE Medicine.- Whytt (Robert) An Essay on the Virtues of Lime-Water in the Cure of the Stone, first edition, with the final blank, old ink shelf-marks to front pastedown (apparently Cullen House), contemporary calf, spine gilt with red morocco label, slightly rubbed, 12mo, Edinburgh, Hamilton, Balfour & Neill, 1752.⁂ Whytt's first book, an enlarged version of a paper published in the Edinburgh Medical Essays in 1743 which attracted much attention. The Appendix relates the case of the Hon. Horace Walpole, younger brother of Sir Robert Walpole and uncle of Horace Walpole of Strawberry Hill.

A pair of brass and mahogany library standard lamps, with integral shelf and adjustable arm, height to bayonet fitting 140cmCables have been cut so we are unable to test these lamps. One of the lamps has soldered repair to arm where it meets the lightbulb holder which is clearly visible. Some surface scratching and wear to brass mounts and circular trays. Both slightly uneven when sat on the floor. These are probably mid-century. Both need rewiring.
An Antique walnut side table, with shaped marble top and pierced brass gallery, with a shelf below, on fluted legs and ormolu mounts, W46cm, H83cm, D33cmThe marble top has some yellowing which is visible in the photograph. The yellowing is not part of the natural finish of the marble. There appear to be some filled gaps and small cracks in the marble. Stand is in good overall condition with some surface scratches and wear. Would benefit from clean and polish.
