SONNY ROLLINS - US BLUE NOTE LPs. Two classics here from Sonny. A Night At The Village Vanguard (US, Blue Note, BLP 1581, orig inner, later RE likely circa '62, Ex with wispy marks across both sides but nothing to affect play, sleeve Ex with light shelf wear), and Vol.2 (US, Blue Note, BLP 1558, orig inner, 47 West on label, VG very very clean but with a feelable scratch to side 2, sleeve VG+ with corner damage).

Here's Tubby Hayes in The London Jazz Quartet - The London Jazz Quartet (UK, Mono, Tempo, TAP 28, factory sample copy with sticker to label, matrix side one VMGT-1633-1B, Ex with some visible but light scuffs on playing surfaces, sleeve VG+ with some creasing. shelf wear and ring wear).

Albert Ayler - My Name Is Albert Ayler (Dutch, Fontana, 688 603 ZL, Ex with a couple of wispy marks and hairlines under bright light, sleeve VG+ with stickers and some staining), Ghosts (Dutch, Fontana, 688 608 ZL, Ex+/Ex with stickers), New Grass (UK, Stereo, Impulse, SIPL 519, Ex+/Ex some paper residue on label possibly where a factory sample sticker was removed), Witches and Devils (UK, Stereo, Polydor Super, 2383-089, Ex+/Ex with shelf wear and stickers, inner gatefold notes by Barry McCrae.)

Here's: Music is the Healing Force Of The Universe (French, Impulse, AS-9191, Ex+/Ex with stickers), In Greenwich Village (US, Ex with some light marks and scuffs, Ex sleeve with stickers), Love Cry (French, Stereo, Impulse, A-9165, Ex+/Ex with stickers), The Last Album (US, Stereo, Ex/Ex with stickers and some shelf wear/ring wear).
SHAMEK FARRAH - FIRST IMPRESSIONS LP (STRATA EAST SES-7412). Kicking off a truly incredible run of records here from the collection of author, critic and true man of Jazz Barry McCrae. More about him in the auction notes. Here's the original 1974 US pressing on Strata East of the wonderful Shamek Farrah - First Impressions (SES-7412). Both sides are fantastic Ex+ condition, sleeve is in Ex condition with some shelf wear.
PAUL GRESHAM - EVERY SOUND WE MAKE LP (FREELANCE FLS-3). A promo copy of a US rarity from 1978. Paul Gresham - Every Sound We Make (US, Stereo, Freelance FLS-3, 1978, promo stamped sleeve, disc glossy Ex+ both sides with very faint paper scuffs, sleeve Ex with light shelf wear and stickers to front, includes promotional press release from the label which bears 2cm tear from lower edge).
ROMANO MUSSOLINI TRIO - MIRAGE (PDU RECORDS - PLD A 6018). Extremely hard to find original Italian pressing LP from 1974 from the youngest son of Benito. Romano Mussolini - Mirage (Italy, PDU, 1974, record top Ex+ both sides, sleeve Ex with very light shelf wear/discolouration and the customary stickers on front ).
ALBERT AYLER TRIO - SPIRITUAL UNITY SIGNED COPY (ESP 1002). Fantastic to see super rarity, with the back of the sleeve seemingly signed in blue marker pen by drummer Sonny Murray. Includes booklet by Paul Haines which has a coffee cup stain (Jazz writers!) to the reverse. Disc is glossy Ex with scuffs and light marks which should not affect playback, sleeve is VG+ with shelf wear. Mono, Esp-Disk, ESP 1002, 1965.
PHAROAH SANDERS - PHAROAH (ESP 1003). Pharaoh's first here, an original US mono copy with that killer sleeve design. Pharoah Sanders - Pharoah (US, Mono, ESP Disk, ESP 1003, Ex with light paper marks and scuffs that shouldn't affect playback, clean labels, VG+ sleeve with stickers, tape repair and shelf wear.
SUN RA AND HIS ARKESTRA - SUPER SONIC JAZZ (LP 0126). Taking things to an extraterrestrial dimension with this one, an original US issue on Saturn / El Saturn. Identifiers are: sleeve cat #: Saturn LP HI Fi, label A side cat #: H7OP-0216, A side matrix: H7OP-0216. Gold Saturn label. Super Ex+ disc, with very light scuffs which will not affect playback and wispy marks. Sleeve Ex with some shelf wear and stickers.
SUN RA AND HIS SOLAR ARKESTRA - SECRETS OF THE SUN LP (SATURN 9954) SIGNED COPY. Astronomically rare one here. Original US issued Saturn with gold labels. Identifiers are: sleeve cat #: Saturn 9954. A side label cat # FG-9954-E. A side matrix 'FG9954E'/ B side matrix 'RM99955H'. Disc a very strong Ex, some light marks and hairlines to side two, none feelable. Label shows some age wear and discolouration. Sleeve has stickers to upper left which can be removed with fluid, light shelf wear, otherwise Ex. Signed with inscription 'To Barry McCrae Sincerely John Gilmore'.
SPONTANEOUS MUSIC ENSEMBLE - KARYOBIN LP (ILPS 9079). Truly wild free/improv from 1968. The Spontaneous Music Ensemble - Karyobin (Uk, Stereo, Island, ILPS 9079, second cat in parentheses is ILPS 60, original pink island with black/orange 'bullseye' labels, flipback sleeve, disc in strong Ex condition, sleeve Ex with minor shelf wear). Stickers to front of sleeve.
ORNETTE COLEMAN - LPs. Three collectable ones in nice condition. Tomorrow Is The Question (UK, Contemporary, LAC.12228, yellow labels, RE, VG+/Ex with some creasing/stickers to front), Something Else! The Music Of Ornette Coleman (UK, Contemporary/Vogue, LAC 12170, Ex/VG+ with stickers to front and some tape along flipback lower edge), The Ornette Coleman Quartet ?– Ornette! (UK, Mono, London American Jazz, LTZ-K 15241, glossy Ex with light scuffs, very clean label, sleeve Ex with stickers to front, some shelf wear).
BILLY BANG'S SURVIVAL ENSEMBLE - NEW YORK COLLAGE LP - SIGNED COPY. Jazz with violin? Yep! Here's the wonderfully named Billy Bangs Survival Ensemble - New York Collage (US, Anima Records, G40-620) with lovely inscription dedicated to Barry McCrae and signature on the front of the sleeve. Disc is in Ex+ condition and sleeve Ex, with some light shelf wear, two small stickers and an import notch.
THE JEFF CLYNE / IAN CARR QUINTET - SPRING BOARD LP (ORIGINAL UK PRESSING - POLYDOR 545 007). Ian Carr seen here not on Dusk Fire/Shades/Nucleus duties, but with eminently collectable title on Polydor. Here's The Jeff Clyne / Ian Carr Quartet ?– Springboard (UK, Stereo, Polydor Special, 545 007, Ex+/Ex with some corner creasing, shelf wear and stickers to front).
KHAN JAMAL - GIVE THE VIBES SOME (PALM 10). Original French issue LP here from Khan Jamal, Give The Vibes Some (France, Stereo, Palm, Palm 10, Ex+/VG+ with stickers to front of sleeve, some creasing, seam splits and shelf wear). Record is in beautiful condition, likely only a few plays, there appears to be some 'pitting' under strong light, which is certainly a manufacturing fault.
