An Early Victorian Rosewood and Marble-Top Breakfront Dwarf Bookcase, mid 19th century, the grey and white Carrara marble moulded top above a central niche with one adjustable shelf flanked by moulded cupboard doors with spiral-turned uprights, on a moulded breakfront base180cm by 40cm by 92cmWith key and working locks. Marble is intact, with some general scratches, small fritting and minor staining. The cabinet is in generally good condition, just with some general scuffs around the base. The central removeable shelf is heavily scratched.

Fine walnut veneer 1958 cocktail cabinet ( Likely Heals) owned from New by the vendors Mother. A classic 1950s cabinet with 2 open front hinged doors to reveal a split glass pair of shelves and the obligatory silvered pull out shelf for those Champagne Saucer moment . Condition is with lighting cable( untested ) and good metal detailed clasp hinges , and has an opening shelved arrangement below.( This is on View in the bellroom at Bishton Hall) Overall size is 63” H x 32” wide and 16” deep.( cabinet + key)

A MAHOGANY, GILT METAL MOUNTED AND MARBLE BOOKCASE IN EMPIRE STYLE, LATE 19TH CENTURY273cm high, 163cm wide, 59cm deep Condition Report: Overall with marks, knocks, scratches, abrasions consistent with age and useSplits and cracks, chips and losses, one large knock to one front corner - here the underlying timber is visible through the veneersDirt and discolouration to the gilt metal mounts, some polish deposits to recesses and surface of the timberThe marble is in three pieces, one large front piece and two flanking side pieces, these are all removable for transport, there are the usual knocks and losses to some edges as well as some larger old losses The whole splits down into sections, the upper section comes off the base at the marble, this section is 173cm high, the base is 97cm high (not including the marble), the doors for the top come off - they are not attached in our salerooms, two hinge elements are detached and need some further attention before use - overall on installation this will require some attention before use - the upper corner of the frieze above the left column has been screwed in place for the view at Dreweatts and again will need some repairs to secure.The shelf supports and the toothed rails to the interior have some chips and losses, the supporting rails appear to be laterPlease see additional images for visual reference to condition Condition Report Disclaimer
