WWII Deutschland Erwacht German Book: The real first edition (not mentioning any later printing on title page) with the chapter "Hitler und seine SA" still mentioning Röhm as "Chef des Stabes der SA". In later printings this chapter has been rewritten completely. The portrait of Röhm has been changed for that of his successor Victor Lutze, but the new caption has been pasted on the old one, as likewise on several occasions elsewhere in the work where SA-leaders are concerned. The caption on p. 114 mentions a.o. Victor Lutze, whereas in later printings this has been changed in "Victor Lutze, der jetzige Chef des Stabes". With the large portrait of Hitler as frontispice and the enormous (130 x 30, 5cm) 6-times folding panoramic view of the "Standartenweihe in Luitpoldhain 1933". Binding designed by Felix Albrecht. Unfortunately wanting the dust-jacket, but complete with all the b/w and coloured pictures. Text by Wilfrid Bade. Ed. photographs: Heinrich Hoffmann. Edges original binding with minor shelf-wear. Very good copy. Excellent condition. An astonishing piece of propaganda.(some damage to spine but still retaining Dust Jacket Together with a copy Adolf Hitler Picture Album (having water damage) (2)

In good entirely unrestored country house condition with water stains on the front, tip of one shelf neatly restuck, the top faded/unpolished, the brass lacquer discoloured but complete and of good quality
A late Victorian gilt bronze ebonised and walnut inlaid side cabinet, the brass three-quarter gallery over a central cupboard inset with a porcelain plaque depicting a young man playing a violin to a girl, flanked with glazed and mirror cupboards over two drawers, a mirrored back with an inverted shelf and plinth, raised on bun feet, 107.5cm wide 57cm deep 136cm high CONDITION REPORT: Wear to tops, finish polished to the ornate work, loss to top of door, scuffing to the edges, crack to undertier, veneer loss to areas of burr walnut. Old splits to the shelves. Wear and tear commensurate with age.
An Edwardian mahogany Adam Revival demilune side cabinet, the top painted with an oval panel of a lady with a cherub, the front profusely carved with urns, swags, husks and scrollwork, and with three painted panels, the single cupboard enclosing a shelf, raised on stiff leaf turned legs, 121.5cm wide 54cm deep 94cm high CONDITION REPORT: Top with scratches, water damage to edges. Door and panels split along construction lines. Painted panels particularly observed by peeled varnish.
An Attractive 18th Century Style Oak Dresser with Rack by furniture makers;Bylaw. The plank-backed rack with a scalloped canopy above two grooved plate shelves. The base inlaid with mahogany cross-banding and having a moulded top above three cock-beaded frieze drawers set in an ogee arched apron edged in cock-beading and raised on four turned front columns leading down to a pot shelf. The drawers retaining their original brass swing handles and oval escutcheons. Good colour and patination. 78 ins (98 cms) high, 58 ins (148 cms) wide, 15 ins (38 cms) deep.
A 17th Century Ebonised & Tortoiseshell Veneered Cabinet on Stand inlaid with ebony & bone chevron stringing and having decorative pressed sheet metal mounts with protuberant tortoiseshell baguette bosses and applied ripple moulding. The central door surrounded by ten small drawers and opening to reveal a mirrored interior above a further shallow drawer. The later stand on eight barley twist legs leading down to an under-shelf, 54¾ ins (139 cms) high, 32 ins (81 cms) wide, 14½ ins (37 cms) deep.(A/F)
A Fine 17th Century Joined Oak Credence Table with Cupboard. The fold over top on rule hinges opening to form an octagon and supported on a rear loper. The run-moulded triangular base incorporating a cupboard with door on pierced iron hinges, raised on three turned legs united by a triangular base shelf, 30 ins (76 cms) high, 34 ins (87 cms) wide, 18 ins (46 cms) deep.
A Fine Late 16th/Early 17th Century Carved Oak Court Cupboard of modest proportions. The top with guilloche frieze raised on bulbous cup & cover supports flanking a recessed cupboard, and having canted sides inlaid with a chequer-banding. The canted sides with similar decoration. The lower section having a long guilloche carved frieze drawer raised on bulbous posts echoing the top, with stile supports to the rear leading down to a base shelf above a rail of undulating foliage. 43¾ ins (111 cms) in height, 45 ins (114 cms) wide, 15 ins (39 cms) deep.
A Fabulous 15th Century Gothic Oak Canted Dressoir. The cavetto moulded top studded with carved bosses of wrythen foliage above a two cupboard doors and a drawer enriched with intricate tracery carving and linen fold side panels. The cupboard raised on square uprights supports to the front with a triple panelled back of further linen fold carving leading down to a base shelf on bracket feet, 62 ins (158 cms) in height, 48 ins (122 cms) wide, 20 ins (51 cms) deep.
