The shelf in front of the upper section has stress fractures, gouges, stains and old holes. It does however appear to be original. The base panels appear to be all original. The two drawers are clearly old but they will originally have been a cupboard rather than the drawers. The side panels are all original. They are cracked as one would probably expect. All four stile feet have been spliced and repaired. The base boards and interior boards to the lover section are all original. There are traces of old woodworm throughout. This woodworm appears to be inactive but treatment would probably be a sensible precaution.
