An Art Nouveau McVitie & Price copper and brass biscuit casket, 1904, the panels embossed with whiplash designs, inset with turquoise coloured Ruskin panels, with original key and two associated letters from M.J. Franklin, Archivist at United Biscuits (UB) Limited, later green velvet lining, dimensions 18.3 x 13.3 x 8.8cm. £300-£400 --- These brass and copper biscuit caskets were made for McVitie & Price in 1904 and were sold through grocers, at 25 shillings and 6d, intended as an “ornament for any mantle shelf or Toilet table” - M.J. Franklin (United Biscuits Archivist, 1982).
CARMEN - LP RARITIES FROM THE PAUL FENTON ARCHIVE. Here we have 2 LPs by Carmen, both LPs were owned by the group's drummer Paul Fenton, who also worked with T Rex during his career. One of the LPs is signed by Paul, the ownership authenticated with a personal hand-written letter from Paul himself. The titles include Dancing On A Cold Wind (SLRZ 1040, signed on the rear and the inner sleeve by Paul. 1975 UK pressing on Regal. The record has some light paper surface marks, VG+. The sleeve has a sticker tear to the cover and some general light edge shelf wear, VG) & Fandangos In Space (SRZA 8518, 1973 UK press on Regal. Record is VG+/ sleeve also VG+).
