Benjamin Maud of London - 8-day mahogany longcase clock c 1770, with an open fretted swan necked pediment and urn finial, break arch hood door flanked by reeded pilaster with Corinthian capitals, trunk with blind fretwork, reeded quarter columns and a break arch trunk door with a glazed lenticle, short plinth with raised beaded moulding on a stepped base, brass break arch dial with spandrels, matted dial centre, recessed seconds and date apertures with a silvered chapter ring, cartouche name plate and engraved silvered boss depicting a bird of prey to the arch, with a recoil anchor escapement and rack striking, striking the hours on a cast bell. With weights and pendulum.Benjamin Maud is recorded as working in London pre-1760, becoming a member of the London Clockmakers Company in 1782. 18th-century profusely carved oak longcase clock - with a pagoda pediment, upstands and carving, break arch hood door flanked by reeded pilasters with brass capitals, trunk with canted corners and a spire topped door, square plinth with applied skirting, break arch brass dial with wheatsheaf engraving and cast cherub and crown spandrels, engraved break arch with the London clockmakers name John Gordin, silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals, five minute Arabic's, minute and quarter hour tracks, matted dial centre with ringed winding holes, square date aperture and seconds ring, dial pinned to a five pillar movement with inside countwheel striking, striking the hours on a cast bell. With weights and pendulum. John Gordin, is possibly a mis-spelling or phonetic spelling of John Gordon, of London, who worked from Ludgate Street in the parish of St. Gregory by St. Pauls. William Gostling of Diss (Norfolk)- Late 18th century 8-day oak longcase clock c1780-90, break arch top with scalloped cresting and three brass finials, glazed break arch hood door flanked by turned pilasters with brass capitals, trunk with a long trunk door and rounded top on a square plinth with an applied and shaped skirting, early painted Wilson of Birmingham dial with Roman numerals and five minute Arabic's, matching steel hands and second pointer, arched square ended calendar aperture with date disc behind, floral spandrels within gesso borders and a painted rocking automaton representing Mercury to the break arch, dial pinned via a false plate to a weight driven rack striking movement with a recoil anchor escapement, striking the hours on a cast bell. With pendulum weights and key. William Gostling (II) is recorded as working in Diss from 1774 to 1797, succeeded by widow Anne and son George . The dial of this clock is illustrated and discussed in detail in M.F. A Victorian oak Admiral Fitzroy's storm barometer by Negretti & Zambra, instrument makers to Her Majesty, circa 1870, having arched bevel glazed double ceramic vernier scales flanking the large bore mercury tube, each calibrated in barometric inches and with the usual observations, No. 1493, the trunk with vernier setting squares and applied glass mercury tube with Fahrenheit scale thermometer, further signed Negretti & Zambra London, h.102cmAll mercury intact and working.Left setting square is not moving, and the right side is lacking knob.Case with some age/handling wear, but otherwise good.Upper right scale with two cracks.Otherwise no apparent faults.

A Good Month Going Chiming Centre Seconds Longcase Clock, signed Samuel Norton, Yarmouth, circa 1770, caddied pediment with brass ball finials, well figured trunk door, framed quatre form moulded plinth, 14-inch arched brass dial with a silvered chapter ring, finely engraved centre with a basket of flowers and scroll decoration, date aperture, arch with strike/silent selection, large eight pillar triple weight driven movement, quarter chiming with five hammers striking a nest of five bells and a larger bell for the hours 274cm highRe-built caddy, pierced frets are later, well figured case with good colour, front of the case with some cracks and the surfaces are slightly lifting in parts, later door locks, later piece of wood has been added around the trunk door escutcheon, scuff marks to the sides, front of the plinth with some later mouldings and the surface has ripple marks, silvered chapter rings are faded, movement looks clean, signs of a later escape wheel and pallets, with three weights and a pendulum.

A Chinese Porcelain Incense Burner, in the form of an Elephant, probably Jiaqing, standing four-square, the nozzle on its back22cm long, on hardwood standThe rear draped panel under the nozzle re attached and restored. The trunk also with restoration. Nozzle with a crack. Left ear broken and restored. Some other enamel flakes and scratches.Stand free from any major breaks and splits.
Great Western Railway 12 inch mahogany cased drop dial trunk fusee railway clock supplied to the GWR circa 1900 by Kay's Worcester. The chain driven English fusee movement with rectangular plates and turned screwed pillars has been restored and cleaned to a good standard. The mahogany case with a four piece segmented wooden surround, two side access doors and a bottom door with the lock removed is in good condition and the GWR ivorine clock numberplate GWR 3305 is screwed to the left hand side of the case. The dial has been restored with the GWR roundel and has a spun brass bezel. In working order but not checked for accuracy complete with pendulum and key.
A 19th century Australian settler tobacco jar formed from a section of tree fern trunk, mounted on brass knob feet and with a lead liner and turned hardwood lid with black china knob, contemporary handwritten note inside saying "Mr J King. A present from J Mears, Redfern", this tobacco jar is made from a section of Tree fern from Lithgow Valley N.S.W., the tree fern grows from 6-8' high.
