Early 19th century Meissen Pastoral Bliss porcelain group after a model by Acier & Schoenheit, of figures dancing, drinking and playing musical instruments, on rocky outcrop beneath tree, on oval white ground base with raised gilt interlaced circles and patera, 50cm high (significant restoration) CONDITION REPORT: Over-painted underneath allowing for part of underglaze blue cross swords mark to show through, restored feet and legs to dancing pair, mended chipped foot to seated lady and restored bowl, restored instrument, restoration to tree trunk - please call for further details
A LARGE COLLECTION OF TRADITIONAL WELSH CLOTHING, circa 1900-1910 and including skirts / underskirts with red and black vertical stripes, black silk and lace skirts, aprons, mantles and shawls including paisley example and so forth, also the families tin-trunk in which the clothing has been kept for many years Provenance: being offered to sale by the descendants of the Howells/ Evans families whom occupied 'Ystrad House' in Ystrad Aeron, near Felinfach, Ceredigion (please also see the bed-cover in this auction, Lot 81)
A Japanese Meiji period carved ivory okimono of a woodcutter, having penwork decoration, signed verso, h.14cm; together with one other of a farmer wearing a circular straw hat, having penwork decoration, unsigned, h.14.5cm (2) Condition Report / Extra Information Woodcutter - loss to top of rope in left hand, vertical shrinkage cracks to back, missing something from top of trunk, fine hairline to forehead, some yellowing all over. Farmer - break to right foot and has been glued, right finger chipped, several fine hairlines, right arm coming loose.
A mahogany eight day longcase clock, signed Archd Strachan, Newcastle, circa 1780, swan neck pediment, Corinthian capped columns, well figured trunk door flanked by fluted columns, 13-1/4-inch arched brass dial, seconds and date dials, arch with moonphase aperture and tidal dial, signed above, four pillar movement with anchor escapement, rack striking on a bell, 242cm high04.08.17, Hood with finials missing, left hand side of the hood with small scratches, seconds and date hands are missing, hands with damage and signs of old repairs, movement has no drive for the date hand, with two weights and a pendulum.
^ An oak eight day longcase clock, signed Brown, Manchester, circa 1780, flat top pediment, moulded trunk door, 12-1/2-inch brass dial with a silvered chapter ring signed, scroll engraved dial centre with date and lunar scale, four pillar movement with anchor escapement and inside countwheel striking on a bell, 214cm high02.08.17, Hood with the caddy missing, hood with some mouldings missing and small chips to veneers, trunk inset pilasters are faded, feet are missing, dial is dirty and discoloured, one of the chapter ring feet is missing, movement is dirty, with pendulum and two weights.
An oak thirty hour longcase clock, signed Jonas Barber, Winster, numbered 677, circa 1764, flat top pediment, mahogany crossbanded trunk door, 11-inch square brass dial with a silvered Roman and Arabic signed chapter ring, matted dial centre engraved with scroll and sunburst decoration, arched date aperture, four pillar movement with anchor escapement and outside countwheel striking on a bell, latched pillars, movement frontplate numbered 677, 201cm high 31.05.17, Case has been cleaned and polished, minor chips to edges in parts, hood capitals have been re-painted with gilt paint, hood capitals with small woodworm holes in parts which are not active, later feet, dial is clean, movement is complete, with pendulum and weight.
An impressive oak chiming longcase clock, circa 1890, hood with carved bear columns, carved trunk door with figures on horseback, plinth with a recessed central figural scene and flanked by standing figures, 15-inch arched brass dial with a silvered Arabic chapter ring, seconds dial, moonphase aperture, triple weight driven movement, quarter chiming on a nest of eight bells, 296cm high 02.08.17, Hood with chips to the finials, small scuff marks in places, some mouldings are chipped and missing in parts, dial is dirty and discoloured, movement is dirty and needs cleaning, hour gong is missing, with pendulum and three weights.
^ A mahogany eight day longcase clock, circa 1780, swan neck pediment, moulded trunk door flanked by fluted inset pilasters, 13-1/4-inch arched brass dial, dial centre engraved with birds, sailing boat and scroll work, moonphase aperture and signed above Chas Edwd Gillett, Manchester, four pillar movement (incomplete), later movement, 240cm high Provenance: Aldbrough Hall, Aldbrough St John, Richmond02.08.17, Case is dirty and with a mildew surface throughout, hood glass is broken, case needs restoring, dial is discoloured, hands are broken and signs of old repairs, later movement with wheels, arbors and all the strike work is missing, bell is missing, with pendulum and one weight.
An oak thirty hour longcase clock, signed Roberts, Otley, 1777, flat top pediment, arched trunk door with mahogany crossbanding, mahogany inset pilasters, 12-inch brass dial, dial centre with engraved scene depicting a sailing boat and buildings, signed and dated, seconds dial, four pillar movement with skeletonised plates, anchor escapement and outside countwheel striking on a bell, 208cm high01.08.17, Hood columns are later, finials are missing, later pieces of moulding to the back sides of the hood, trunk sides with small chips, inset pilasters are cracked and the left hand side pilaster is lifting, sides of the plinth with small cracks, dial is discoloured, movement needs cleaning, with pendulum and one weight.

An Irish mahogany eight day longcase clock, signed Samuel Bailie, Dromore, circa 1780, swan neck pediment with carved capitals and central frieze, Corinthian capped columns, arched trunk door, 13-1/2-inch brass dial, engraved floral dial centre with date aperture and seconds, four pillar movement with anchor escapement and striking on a bell, 241cm high 02.08.17, Hood sides with damage to the back columns, hood with later side recessed panels, case with small scuff marks and chips in parts, back feet are missing, dial is discoloured and needs re-silvering, movement is complete, with pendulum and two weights.
A contemporary silver plated novelty telephone, in the form of an elephant's head, having raised trunk, the hinged cover enclosing a perspex receiver, length 60cmFootnote: Reputedly used as a prop in the film Wayne's World Condition Report / Extra Information Tusks are some sort of composite resin.Tusks good, some minor pitting and surface wear only.Silver plate with some general surface wear giving a brassy looking effect in places.Cover just about sits flush, small gap visible.We are unable to test working order because it does not have a plug attached.
