Kändler, the elephant standing to the left with a curled trunk, large ears, its back and legs with mottled decoration, the nobleman sitting on its back holding a sceptre with ornate surmount, wearing a jewelled turban, a short-sleeved red robe over a long flowered white robe, purple pantaloons and green shoes, seated upon a gilt-tasseled purple cushion, a yellow and gilt tassel purple cushion, a yellow and gilt tasseled saddle-cloth below, bearing Meissen mark under base, height 40 cm (a/f).
