An interesting old metal bound wooden traveling trunk, 28" x 16" x 18", the barrel shaped lid with re-inforcing ribs, the interior lined with khaki coloured paper, the lid bearing a coloured label of a buxom wench and trade label of "Moses Schwartz, Established 1869, Manufacturer of Trunks, Bags and Valises, 445 Fulton St, Cor Jay St, Brooklyn", etc. Generally GC (externally worn)
An early 19th Century mahogany longcase clock, the 12ins arched brass dial with Arabic numerals to the arch and spandrels decorated with fruit and gilt leaf scroll ornament, with subsidiary seconds dial to the eight day two train movement striking on a bell, contained in figured mahogany case, probably by Goulden of Canterbury, with shaped cresting above moulded cornice, with turned, fluted and Corinthian capped columns to hood, shaped and arched trunk door and plinth with applied astragal mouldings, on bracket feet, 8ins high (dial partly repainted and with second hand missing - case with twisted trunk door and split to cornice, and generally in need of restoration)
