A late 18c eight day longcase clock, the 12" arched brass dial signed James Rule, Portsmouth in the arch. The dial has a strike/silent lever in the arch, seconds and date indications, a silvered engraved dial centre, scroll spandrels and unmatched steel hands. The four pillar movement has been converted to strike on a gong in the back of the case. The mahogany case has a pagoda top with sound fret on the front and a dentil moulding around the top hood moulding. Fluted columns flank the dial and the trunk is plain with an arched door, the base has a rectangular applied panel and bracket feet, 84" tall overall.

An eight day longcase clock circa 1700 by Thos. Pare of London, the 12" square brass dial having cherub head spandrels, ringed winding holes and engravings around the dial centre and date aperture. The movement has six ringed pillars and latchplates and inside countwheel striking. The weights are brass bound. The walnut case has a flat topped hood with sound fret and plain ebonised columns flanking the dial. The long rectangular trunk door has a brass ringed lenticle glass and three panels in marquetry depicting birds and foliage. The base has a similar panel and a solid skirting plinth, 86.5" tall overall.

A late 18c eight day longcase clock, the 12" arched brass dial signed John Grace, Tring and having a strike/silent lever in the arch (not connected), scrolls, spandrels and date and seconds indicators. It is contained in a plain oak case with full arch hood with vase finials and fluted columns flanking the dial. The long trunk door has an arched top and raised edge moulding and the plain base has a double plinth, 81" tall overall (John Grace is not listed as a maker in Tring and this clock bears resemblances to ones made by John Clement of Tring at this time. A John Grace was born in Tring in 1766 and it is possible that this may have been made for him by Clements in 1780/90`s).

An eight day longcase clock, the associated 11" square brass dial signed Arthur Mitchell, Dorchester and having female head spandrels, matted centre and date and seconds indicators. The early 19c movement is of standard construction and has a dial false plate from Osborne`s of Birmingham. It is contained in a late 18c oak and walnut case with flat top hood which has attached hood columns flanking the door. The trunk has a band of light and dark rope inlay down the front corners and the long door has walnut crossbanding and star inlay to the centre and fan inlays to the corners. The base has walnut crossbanded edges and similar inlays and a wavy plinth, 78.5" tall overall.

A mid 19c thirty hour clock, the 12" square painted dial signed D Read, Ipswich and having shell decorated corners, Arabic numerals, date ring and unusually for a thirty hour clock a seconds ring. It has a plated movement with rope drive and is countwheel striking on a bell. The oak case has flat swan neck pediment and reeded columns flanking the dial. The rectangular trunk door is plain, as is the base which has a wavy plinth, 75" tall overall.

An early 18c eight day longcase clock, the 12" arched brass dial signed Peter Collomby, London and having female head spandrels, date, seconds and strike/silent in the arch. The five pillar movement is rack striking on a bell and has anchor escapement. It is contained in a walnut case, the hood having full arch surmounted by a caddy which has a broken arch pediment with three finials over. The long trunk door is of well figured walnut with stringing and crossbanding around its edges and a raised edge moulding. The cut down base now has a plain plinth, the case is in need of extensive restoration with the trunk door detached and the hood needing replacement mouldings, 89" tall overall.

An early 19c eight day longcase clock, the 12" arched dial indistinctly signed and having floral corners and a vase of flowers in the arch. The dial has seconds and date indications and matched brass hands. The oak mahogany case has swan neck pediments to the hood with three pineapple finials and plain columns flanking the dial. The trunk has canted corners with boxwood line inlays and the door has mahogany crossbanded edges and a central applied oval. The base has mahogany crossbanding and no plinth, 77" tall overall.
