Late 19th Century Louis Vuitton Cabin Trunk, in beige and brown rayee design striped canvas, housing two lift out trays, one has two compartments with fuchsia leather covers, bearing a paper label 'Louis Vuitton, 1 Rue Scribe, Paris, No 2858', 90cm by 50cm by 49cm high Rayee pattern was only produced between 1876-1888
An early 18th century ebonised longcase clock by Isaac Goddard, London, the moulded and glazed hood with caddy top above a blind fretwork frieze and straight columns, 12" square brass dial with engraved wheatear border, applied silvered chapter ring, cast brass cherub & crown spandrels, Roman numerals with Arabic minute band, the finely matted centre with ringed winding squares and ringed, decorated date aperture and subsidiary seconds dial, the 8-day twin-train five-pillar movement with internal countwheel striking on bell, anchor escapement, the movement united by knopped and ring-turned pillars; above an ebonised trunk with lenticle glass, on a rectangular plinth base, case with restorations, complete with two brass cased weights and pendulum, 87"/ 221cm tall. A large collection of various RAF memorabilia to include fur-trimmed leather jacket, RAF uniform including caps, badges, flying hats, goggles, headphones, etc, all relating to Wing Commander M W Anderson RAF, together with wooden trunk CONDITION REPORTS All items have general wear and tear. Jacket is particularly worn. Moth damage to the edges, wear to the leather and belt. Some areas of moth damage to the blouse as well as staining. Moth damage to most items to some scale or other. 19th Century oak and mahogany-cased painted dial 30-hour longcase clock, Thomas Gatward, Saffron Walden circa 1830, the 12-inch break-arch Roman dial with subsidiary seconds beneath XII, floral spandrels and an arch painted with a couple seated beside a river, the case with swan-neck pediment over turned columns, crossbanded trunk door between canted corners and conforming base, 204cm high Condition: Dial has significant crazing throughout and some fading to Roman numerals, movement appears complete but is sold as seen, front corners of seatboard are canted unlike the upstands, suggesting a marriage of dial to case. Case of good colour but front panel to base is loose and clock is lacking feet. One section of crossbanding replaced. Cast iron circular tree seat made in four sections, the top decorated with pierced palmettes, the eight supports with bunches of grapes, 144cm diameter Condition: This lot is currently dissembled and the four sections which comprise the back (which would wrap around the trunk of a tree) are currently fixed beneath the seat as rear supports, there are no bolts with this seat to assemble it in the correct manner and therefore it will require reconstructing by the successful purchaser, general weathering including some paint loss to feet, no significant losses or damage detected from the section which has been examined in its current state - Please see extra images and TELEPHONE department if you require further information
George III mahogany-cased brass dial 8-day longcase clock, Thomas Morgan, Aldford, the 12-inch break-arch brass dial having a silvered chapter ring with Roman hours and Arabic minutes framing subsidiary seconds dial beneath XII, vacant calendar aperture at VI, within urn spandrels, the arch with engraved boss and sea serpents, the movement rack-striking on a bell, the case with swan neck pediment over verre eglomise panels and Corinthian columns, the long shape arched trunk door between matching quadrant columns, 211cm high Condition: Dial has extensive tarnishing to chapter ring and centre which have green tinge, further tarnishing to boss and to left edge of dial plate, the movement appears contemporary and complete but is sold as seen, the calendar ring is present but has slipped so does not appear in the window to dial front, the case has replacement finials and is missing the backing to the verre eglomise panels of the hood, minor joint gap to hood arch, crack to lower right corner of hood door, trunk has slight warping plus a loss to upper left corner of door and the base is missing its plinth and feet - We do not guarantee the movement or accuracy of clocks - Please see extra images and TELEPHONE department if you require further information

A rare William III walnut and Arabesque marquetry eight-day longcase clock William Bilsbrough, Gargrave, circa 1695-1700 The four thick finned pillar inside countwheel bell striking movement with anchor escapement regulated by seconds pendulum and tall plates, the 11.25 inch square brass dial with subsidiary seconds dial, ringed winding holes and calendar aperture to the fine foliate scroll engraved centre within applied silvered Roman numeral chapter ring with stylised sword hilt half hour markers, Arabic five minutes to narrow outer track and signed William Bilsborrow, Fecit to lower edge, with pierced blued steel hands and angles applied with winged cherub mask and foliate scroll cast spandrels, in a case with ogee moulded cornice and floral trail pierced fret to frieze above conforming foliate strapwork scroll inlaid glazed hinged dial surround applied with Solomonic three-quarter columns to front angles, the sides with rectangular windows and later baluster turned half columns applied next to bargeboards at the rear, the trunk with convex marquetry veneered throat moulding centred with a grotesque mask over 41.5 inch rectangular door centred with a circular lenticle and with three shaped marquetry panels decorated with bird inhabited strapwork scrolling foliage enveloping grotesque masks incorporating pewter inlaid eyes on a fruitwood ground within a walnut field, the sides veneered in walnut, the base with stepped ogee top moulding and conforming rectangular marquetry panel within further crossbanded surround over shallow mounded skirt, 202cm (79.5ins) high. William Bilsbrough is recorded in Loomes, Brian Clockmakers of Britain 1286-1700 as born in 1669 the son of Richard Bilsbrough of Moorber, Yorkshire. His children were baptised between 1695 and 1709 with two of his sons (one also named William) also becoming clockmakers. William Bilsbrough senior is recorded as repairing long Preston church clock in 1707-09, in 1737 he made a new clock for Gisburn Park and died in 1750. Loomes also refers to a marquetry longcase clock by Bilsbrough which could well be the current lot.
A GOOD QUALITY JAPANESE MEIJI PERIOD SHIBAYAMA & IVORY TUSK VASE, together with a fixed wood stand and a separate lacquered wood stand, the tusk section weighing approx. 1.41Kg in total, the sides decorated in onlaid and inlaid mother-of-pearl, coral, tortoiseshell and carved wood with a hawk perched on the trunk of a blossoming tree, 15.1in high overall on stand, the tusk section 9.3in high.
