The movement appears complete and has the appearance of being relatively recently cleaned/ serviced so it is likely to run but not guarantee can be given. The sound board looks to have been recently re-screwed into the block. The dial looks to have patches of repainting (the word Dudley in particular) and re-gilding to the face also. The hood finials are all a little loose and the central ball finial is lacking the original spike. The brackets for the hood door have gorged a heavy mark out of the base of the hood (see image). The mahogany surround of the glazed door is splitting and appears to have been repaired. The rest of the case has some repaired veneers and cross-banding, and there are just a few areas presently missing. The base of the trunk has been split to the left hand side and a heavy scar is left (see image). The back board appears original, no evidence of worm activity, there is natural splitting along the grain lines quite centrally.
