An oak and marquetry longcase clock,early 19th century and later, the hood with a swan neck pediment and fluted pilasters, enclosing a broken arch brass dial, with applied silvered chapter ring, foliate mask spandrels and date aperture, the four pillar two train movement striking on a bell, the shape trunk door with chequered banding and cornucopia marquetry panel, with a similar bird panel to the base, all raised on ogee bracket feet,224cm highCondition ReportMovement appears to have seen considerable alteration and later additions, it does not appear to have started life with the case. The uprights where the seat board lies appear to have been cut down. Small splits to the sides of the case. A split to the front lower panel of the case. General knocks, scuffs and wear throughout. Trunk door lock is later.
