An 18th century eight day Longcase Clock, by George Penny, Wells, the arched brass dial with Roman numerals and etched minutes, complete with subsidiary seconds and calendar, above signature George Penny, Wells, the dials pediment also decorated with Poseidon/Neptune, housed in mahogany hood and trunk, H 217 cm.
This lovely set features six amber toothpick holders, a hobnail footed holder, a chalice adorned with low relief hearts, a tree trunk shaped holder, a barrel, a round holder with abstract art patterns, and a vase shaped holder. A strung mahogany longcase clock, c.1800, broken swan neck pediment with plinth and brass roundels, arched architrave supported by Corinthian columns, glazed, painted moon dial, Roman numerals, date aperture, double fusee, surrounded by portrait spandrels of naval men, the case below features geometric interlocking parquetry on architrave, the trunk features a double arched door with ivory urn-form escutcheon and inscribed sticker to back, flanked by Doric pilasters, plane moulded plinth, 222cm high, 57cm wide, 24cm deep (key, weights and pendulum) (1)Ivory Declaration Submission Reference Number: JX8G8KAS
