A late 19th-century mahogany longcase regulator by Batty & Sons, Manchester, the architectural case has canted corners to the hood and trunk, the rectangular glazed door shows of the zinc/steel temperature-compensated pendulum, the rectangular plinth stands on a single plinth, the 13.5-inch silvered regulator dial is signed on applied plates, the substantial movement has A-framed plates united by heavy screwed pillars and is fixed to a wooden seatboard with two large hand screws, the six-spoked wheels are screwed to their collets and mesh with high count pinions, the dead-beat escapement has adjustable jewelled pallet nibs that are held in a brass frame, the pendulum is suspended from a cast-iron bracket on the backboard and follows Thomas Buckney's (1838-1890) design, which incorporates steel and zinc tubes to compensate for the expansion and contraction of metal in hot and cold temperatures, the brass-cased weight has an integral pulley and is positioned so that it descends down the side of the case6ft 7in (201cm) high.
A mid-18th century longcase clock by Robert Davis of Burnley with later carved oak case, the longcase has profuse relief carving throughout, the caddy-topped hood has free-standing barley twist columns over carved reeded quarter columns to the trunk, the base has a raised panel, reeded canted corners, standing on carved bun feet, the 12-inch dial has mask and foliate spandrels, signed chapter ring, matted centre with subsidiary seconds dial, ringed winding holes and calendar aperture, the weight-driven movement has an anchor escapement and internal countwheel striking on a bell
A late 18th-century oak 8-day longcase clock by Hedge of Colchester, the hood with pagoda top is surmounted by three ball and spire finials over tapering oak columns with brass capitals over a concave throat moulding, break-arched moulded trunk door and rectangular base with double skirted plinth and block feet, the 12-inch brass break-arched dial is signed on a cartouche in the arch, has rococo spandrels, engraved chapter ring, and a matted centre with a recessed subsidiary dial and calendar aperture, the weight-driven movement has five knopped pillars, anchor escapement and rack striking on a bell7ft7.5in (233cm) high
A third quarter of the 18th century oak 30-hour longcase clock by John Roberts of Wrexham, the hood with moulded cornice over freestanding ornately turned spindle columns, the trunk with quarter columns and crossbanded door stands on a rectangular base with tall plinth, the 12-inch signed brass dial has rococo spandrels, subsidiary seconds dial, and calendar aperture, the weight-driven movement has external countwheel striking on a bell, and anchor escapement, 206cm high.
A third quarter of the 18th century oak 30-hour longcase by Thomas Lister of Halifax, the profusely carved oak case has a flat-topped hood with barley twist columns over a straight-sided trunk with shaped door, the signed 12-inch dial has brass hands, and a Halifax moonphase indication below the 12 o'clock position, which is mirrored by the date aperture below, the weight-driven movement has external countwheel striking on a bell, and anchor escapement, 213cm high

Bunker Entrance German Sign, a small section of local tree trunk measuring 30cms x 20cms. A highly interesting item hand painted in gothic lettering ‘Gott Schutze Unser Heim’. Hand applied in ink to the reverse ‘Pulled off dug out back of German first line trenches October 6th Bolantc Hdqtrs north of Les Islettes, France’, there is also a very faint pencil inscription to the front, which has a date applied, which could be ‘1917, 47 or 77’.

A CHINESE SPINACH-GREEN JADE 'THREE FRIENDS OF WINTER' VASE 18TH CENTURY Carved as the trunk of a prunus tree with a blossoming branch, a gnarled pine tree and sprays of bamboo and lingzhi, together with a wood stand, 15.5cm. Provenance: from the collection H R Parfitt Esq., then purchased Sotheby's London, 9th November 1954, lot 147 for £48, and later the collection of Mr Arthur Crick (1890-1956).
A CHINESE SPINACH-GREEN JADE DOUBLE VASE 19TH CENTURY Carved as a hollowed prunus tree trunk with a flowering branch entangled with a spray of bamboo, lingzhi and a small pine tree, with a small gu-shaped vase with a taotie mask to the side, flanked by a small qilin, 15cm. Provenance: from the collection of Mr Arthur Crick (1890-1956).

Flint Charing' (1733-1793), the matted gold dial with chamfered date aperture at six and silvered subsidiary seconds dial at twelve, pierced gilt hands, brass Roman numeral chapter ring with foliate scroll spandrels, the strung mahogany case with barbed arched top with barleytwist columns, over a trunk with canted corners, raised on bracket feet, 82¬in. (209cm.) high.
