A good Victorian drop dial English fusee dial clock with roll back to wall case. With 12" convex dial and glass cast bezel. 8 day single train fusee movement, moon hands. Contained in a lovely mahogany veneered case with what looks to be the original case carved ears in form of leafs. Glazed shaped aperture to front on trunk bordered by brass beading and brass inlay to the rounded bottom of the trunk. Door key and pendulum present.Dimensions - 25" x 14 1/2" x 6" deepGood original condition - movement not tested No makers name visible on the dal or rest of the clock
Charles Mayfield Dublin, Ireland 8 day Longcase clock. A lovely Irish longcase clock. With13" round white dial with " CHs MAYFIELD Grafton street, Dublin on the dial, subsidiary seconds dial. A eight day two train movement chiming on a gong. Contained in a very nice mahogany case with flame veneers to the trunk door .Round hood top with carving on top and two wooden urn finials on the front corners of the hood.Dimensions 80" x 18" x 9" deepCondition report. Good condition . All looks to be original, modern screw used to secure seat-board which has caused some splitting. Contained in a ebonised case with long glazed trunk door, with a blue and gold star to the centre. Contained in a flame mahogany case, swan neck pediment to hood, reeded columns to hood and trunk, panelled base with brick design sides. With weights and pendulum. Dimensions: 98" x 21" x9".Condition: Restored condition. Door keys present. Slight lifting of cross-banding on top of trunk door. Movement not tested.
