Eight day five pillar movement striking on a bell. Contained in a burr walnut and marquetry case depicting sunflowers, birds, green-man mask, raised on bun feet. Ebony trim to front and sides, lentil in trunk door could be a replacement. Hood has ebonised plain pillars with brass cap. The thirty hour movement is superb quality with finned pillars and finned detail on back-cock A single hand 10'' brass dial with matted centre, signed but not numbered. Contained in a substantial oak case with raised pattern trunk door with half round mouldings. A half round top hood with turned pillars, front and quarter pillars to back. Above a brass pediment in shape of leaves and flowers. Movement has steel pillars anchor escapement, plain brass side pediments and striking on a bell. Brass turned feet to base, 6 1/2 x 11 (top of bell) x 5''. Chain driven with wooden pulley. Contained in an originally made oak case for the clock with narrow trunk long door, iron blacksmith made hinges.
