Late 19th century figured mahogany longcase clock with a lancet-shaped hood and stopped reeded pillars, trunk with a full-length wavy ogee topped door on a paneled rectangular plinth with applied and shaped skirting, 10� silvered circular convex dial with painted roman numerals and minute track, steel spade hands, convex glass with a cast brass bezel, dial pinned directly to the eight-day rack striking movement, recoil anchor escapement striking the hours and half-hours on a coiled steel gong, with spoked pulleys, weights, key and pendulum.This movement was possibly made by an engineer rather than a clockmaker and the case purposely made by a cabinet maker for the movement and dial.Dimensions: Height: 190cm
