Louis Vuitton travel or motoring (motor car) trunk in dark green fabric with two wooden slats attached to the lid. The edge of the lid has multiple Louis Vuitton' stamped studs fixing the leather to the wooden frame and in the centre is a 'LV' stamped lock. The lock is also stamped with a Bte S.G.D.G (Breveté SGDG) which is a type of French patent that ceased to exist in 1968, dating this item to the early or mid 20th Century. On either end of the box is a carrying handle and a small circular metal Louis Vuitton stamped plate (booth photographed). The interior is partially lined with a white fabric and the lid is hinged in each corner with a metal bar. The interior has no Louis Vuitton label although residue can be seen and it is numbered 150428, each side also has a fitted ledge designed to hold an interior shelf which is missing. 84cm wide, 38cm deep, 35cm high.
