A part built 3 inch scale model of a 'Savage Little Sampson' live steam traction engine, being a single cylinder steam tractor/agricultural engine. The model is approximately 75% completed with many parts included to complete the build. It comes with a full set of drawings, gears have been cut, most main parts have been assembled. cylinder 1 1/2" bore by 2 1/2" stroke, linkages to be completed,trunk guide, steering fitted but drive chains not fitted, open crank and eccentrics, spoked flywheel, water pump fitted but not eccentric drive, chimney, straked wheels, brake gear not fitted. Castings and parts are still available commercially for this model. Boiler: The traction engine is fitted with an unused 'Franklin & Bell' steel boiler Number.FB473. Hydraulic tested to 250psi on the 7th of December2001. Working pressure 125 psi. Certificate of Conformity dated the 4th of December 2001.
