A baronet's ceremonial dress uniform,for Sir Sven Wohlford Hansen, 1st Baronet MBE (1876-1958),comprising:a bicorn hat,black velvet jacket and hose,white silk waistcoat,black stockings,shoes,a belt, anda dress sword with etched blade, 'T & F French, Dover Street',in a painted tin trunk labelled 'Sir Sven Hansen Bt.'Sven Wohlford Hansen was born in Cardiff in 1876, the son of Carl Frederick Hansen, a Norwegian who settled in Wales in the 1860s as an importer of pit props for the South Wales collieries, subsequently becoming a ship insurance agent. Initially Sven Hansen joined his father's business, but he later branched out on his own, his 'Cardiff Hall Steamship Line' being one of the largest operating out of the Bristol Channel ports. For his services to shipping during the First World War, he was appointed an MBE.He later went on to revive the shipbuilding industry in Bideford, Devon and was created a Baronet in 1921 for his services to the town.

Mainly Cretaceous period, 140-70 million years BP. A mixed group of fossil items comprising: seven pieces of fossilised whalebone showing stratification; a section fossilised wood showing borings by shipworm; five Cretaceous echinoid casts in flint; two blocks of limestone with bracheopod fossils; a Cretaceous flint nodule showing bracheopods; a piece of pumice; a cross-section block of mineralised tree trunk. 4.3 kg total, 4-17cm (1 3/4 - 6 3/4"). Property of an Essex, UK collector; acquired on the UK art market, 1980-1990.[18, No Reserve] Mainly fine condition.

Best & Co, Own Make, Aldford St. Park Lane W and 188 Sloane Street, SW', the interior with a metal fixing plate and straps, 99cm wide x 59.5cm deep x 52cm high Note: Lady Cowdray was involved with a number of suffrage organisations.

AN 18TH CENTURY JAPANESE INLAID RED LACQUER ONE CASE INRO BY SUICHIKUKEN, decorated in gold lacquer and inlaid mother-of-pearl with a grasshopper amidst reeds, the edge with a gold lacquer signature and red lacquer seal, together with a carved wood ojime in the form of a section of trunk, the ojime 0.8in high, the inro 3.1in wide & 2.25in high.
