*Tetley, Langmead & Wynne Archive. A large archive of letters, deeds and other ephemera relating to this family line, mostly 18th and 19th century, including two autograph letters signed from King William IV, when Duke of Clarence, both signed ‘William', both to Mrs Winne (mother of M. C. Langmead), one dated 27th April 1797, one concerning John Winne (Mrs Winne's son?) and the Duke's ‘friendship for you and yours', the second undated letter with consolation offered on the death of her husband George Winne ‘I now take up my pen to answer, in order to assure you and your family of my real friendship and regard', mentioning his love for her husband, 2 & 4 pp., 4to, together with a large quantity of family letters, deeds, documents, etc., many with penny blacks and penny reds and posting marks on envelopes, a large amount concerning Canon George Tetley's family history researches, and all included in his tin trunk with his name ‘Reverend J. G. Tetley' stamped to one edge. A copy of George Tetly's autobiography ‘Old Times and New' (1904) is included in the trunk. In it he traces his ancestry back to his great grandfather George Winne in Plymouth. (a tin trunk)

A George III mahogany longcase regulator, the hood with arch top moulded cornice and single band fluted frieze, the circular glass door with brass mounts and with canted columns to the sides, the trunk with similar canted sides and enclosed by a rectangular brass mounted door, the base with square fielded panel on a plinth base, fitted a single train eight-day movement with six pillars supporting the gauge plates, the dead beat escapement with jewelled pallets, the backplate signed Parkinson and Frodsham, London, the whole with unusual brass casing, the mercury compensated pendulum with oval ribbed glass reservoir and silvered beat indicator, the 12" circular silvered dial with centre sweep minute hand and Arabic numerals and two subsidiary dials for seconds and (24) hours (a subsidiary 12 hour chapter ring has been removed and retained), the dial signed C Taylor, Bristol, 192.5cm (75.75") high

A late 19th Century oak cased twin scale Barometer, Royal Polytechnic, ‘The Atmoscope’, the drum headed case surmounted by carved foliate detail and surmounted by spherical finial, to a long glazed trunk, with cast brass bezel and heavy bevelled glass, enclosing a 10” silvered paper dial, with scale of 28-31 and flanked either side by Admiral Fitzroy remarks, and brass pointers, over two bone handled adjusting screws and heavy visible tube, and a silvered paper instruction sheet for rising and falling further tube, a glass storm tube and single scale mercurial thermometer, height 45”
An early 19th Century mahogany and boxwood line inlaid Stick Barometer, J Somalvico of London, the mahogany case with hinged and glazed door, surmounted by a carved swan neck pediment, centred with a bone finial, to a silvered scale, with single scale mercurial thermometer, opposed by a scale of 28-31, with sliding vernier, to a waisted trunk with visible tube and ring turned cistern cover, height 38”
An early 19th Century Oak, Mahogany and Satinwood inlaid 8-day Long Case Clock, Unsigned, the hood with pagoda top and depicting Britannia with a lion over free standing columns with gilt metal capitals to an ogee throat and long trunk door with further inlaid detail and flanked by quarter reeded columns and raised on a panel plinth base with bracket feet, to a 12” second period painted Arabic dial, the arch decorated with a painted scene of a cottage over floral spandrels and gilt detail to a pale green background, enclosing subsidiary seconds and date sector, with pierced and stamped hands to a false plate signed Walker & Hughes, movement with shoulder plates united by four knopped pillars, anchor escapement with strike on a bell (lacking), height 87”
An early 19th Century mahogany cased 8-day Long-case Clock, the arched hood surmounted by a scrolling pediment, over freestanding columns, with lacquered brass capitals, to a convex throat and arched long trunk door, to a plinth base, with arched second period 12” painted dial, surmounted by a ruined church, over painted rose spandrels and Arabic chapter ring, enclosing subsidiary seconds and date sector with pierced and stamped brass hands, to a cast false plate with movement united by four knopped pillars and anchor escapement, strike on a bell, (associated), height 82”
An oak cased 8-day Long-case Clock, the dial signed Thos Hardwick of Ridgmount, the hood overhanging cornice to dentil frieze, and fluted three quarter columns with brass capitals, to an ogee throat, over a shaped long trunk door, and plinth base, to a 12” square brass dial, with cast and applied scrolling foliate spandrels, and Roman and Arabic chapter ring, to engraved centre with subsidiary seconds and date sector and pierced hands, to an associated movement, with four knopped pillars and anchor escapement, with rack strike on a bell, height 77”
AN UNUSUAL CONTINENTAL 25-BORE DOUBLE-BARRELLED PERCUSSION SPORTING GUN, THE LOCKS SIGNED HARVEY & SON, EXETER, circa 1845, with 30 1/2in. rebrowned twist sighted barrels, case-hardened patent breeches, foliate engraved tang, case-hardened border and scroll engraved locks, well figured walnut half-stock with chequered grip, engraved blued iron trigger-plate and shaped trigger-guard, the former decorated with a bird standing next to a tree trunk within a cartouche supported by two dragons, the butt-plate hinged to form an unfinished trap, and brass-tipped ramrod (some refinishing throughout).
A LATE GEORGE III MAHOGANY LONGCASE CLOCK by William Withers of Bristol, with an eight-day bell striking movement and a subsidiary seconds dial and date indicator to the painted dial, with a landscape lunette above, in a mahogany case with fluted quarter pilasters to the trunk, 87". on page 118

A late George III inlaid mahogany eight day long case clock, the hood with swan neck pediment and pair of gilt metal mounted fluted coloumns flanking the 12Ó painted arch top dial with subsidiary day of month, second, and moon phase dial. The trunk with reeded canted corners raised on shaped bracket feet., 230 cm high.
