Walnut longcased clock, early 18th century and later, square brass face, 28cm, with cherub spandrels and engraved cardinals, brass chapter ring with arabic and roman numerals, inscribed Daniel Quare Londoni Fecit, matt field with seconds dial, ringed and shuttered winding holes, date aperture engraved with coronets, twin-barrel five-pillar movement, anchor escapement, barel mounted countwheel striking the hour, lenticular pendulum bob (suspension spring longer than crutch) in a dome topped hood with blind fret leaf scrolls, integral columns, on cavetto shoulders, slender trunk with quartered herring banded door, on set-out plinth. Height 224cm. (Two weights, pendulum)
A Lenci-type felt doll, with a curled yellow-blond wig, and side-glancing painted eyes, on a jointed body, 30cm high (the left foor with '1926' written in ink to the sole); and a quantity of clothing, including a mint green felt jacket (extensively torn at left shoulder), all contained in a small maroon travelling trunk; together with a German bisque character baby doll, with moulded and painted hair, sleeping blue glass eyes, and an open mouth, on a bent-limb body, the head impressed '2/0 151', 21cm high.

A 19th Century green lacquer and chinoiserie decorated longcase clock and associated 18th Century movement, the 10 inch square dial with subsidiary seconds and day of the month aperture, the hood with flanking barley twist supports, the trunk door decorated with Oriental scenes and a glass lenticle, 194 cm high.

A George III mahogany longcase clock, the moulded arched hood with fluted columns mounted with gilt brass Corinthian capitals, the trunk with moulded arched panel door enclosed by fluted quarter columns with similar brass capitals, on a moulded box base on ogee bracket feet, the 33cm arched brass dial signed 'John Luckman, Bickenhill', with subsidiary seconds dial, the fan-shaped day aperture displaying a painted day dial, having an inner date ring with swept hand and lunar phase to the arch, the twin train movement with anchor escapement striking to a bell, 229cm high.

An 18th century mahogany longcase clock with square hood with turned half columns, the trunk with a moulded plain frieze waist panel door on a box base, the 30cm square brass dial signed 'Tho Stones, London', with subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture, the twin train movement with anchor escapement striking to a bell, 202cm high.

The model is finished in green and red paintwork with polished brightwork.

Engine details include single cylinder approxmiately 1 inch bore x 1 1/2 inch stroke, drain cocks, mechanical lubricator, trunk type guide, Stephenson's link reverse, eccentric driven feed pump and bypass, two road speeds and spoked flywheel, Pickering type governor, chassis details include spoked straked wheels, worm and roller chain steering, spud pan, dampner, cable drum, fairleads, hand brake to second shaft. The model finished in black working paintwork with polished brightwork. . Boiler History: This traction engine has never been fired but comes with a new four year hydraulic boiler test certificate issued by The Worthing & District ME. Certificate Number SF113390. Test Pressure 160 psi. Working pressure 80 psi. Safety valve set at 80 psi. Certificate expires the 17th of September 2012. Signed by Boiler Inspector D C Marshall. The model measures 16 1/2ins x 26ins. (42cm x 66cm).
A Rare Exhibition quality 1 1/2 inch scale model of the 8 nhp Allchin Showmans engine No 1246 'Shamrock', The original full size engine built in 1903 was sent back to the Northhampton works in 1905 to be converted to a showmans engine and one example of an 8hp engine still exists in preservation today. This rare model was built by Mr J Bibby of The Worthing & District Society of Model Engineers from his own research but using the cylinder and some parts from the design and modified drawings of the late Mr W J Hughes being a single cylinder showmans engine. The engine has a copper boiler with fittings including water gauge, pressure gauge, safety valve, blower, clack and blow down valves. Engine details include single cylinder approxmiately 1 inch bore x 1 1/2 inch stroke, drain cocks, mechanical lubricator, trunk type guide, Stephenson's link reverse, eccentric driven feed pump and bypass, two road speeds, Watt's type governor, chassis details include spoked wheels with fitted rubber road tyres, worm and roller chain steering, spud pan, cable drum, fairleads, belly tanks with rivet detail, hand brake to second shaft. electric generator, chimney extension, canopy sign written 'Grays Electric Galloping Horses' and supported on polished brass olivers but no lights were fitted to the original showmans engine until after the second world war. The model is finished in green paintwork with polished brightwork and has brass road lamps. Boiler History: This showmans engine comes with a new four year hydraulic boiler test certificate issued by The Worthing & District ME. Certificate Number SF113389.Test Pressure 160 psi. Working pressure 80 psi. Safety valve set at 80 psi. Certificate expires the 16th of September 2012. Signed by Boiler Inspector D C Marshall.
