An oak eight day longcase clock, caddied pediment, moulded trunk door with a glazed lenticle, 12-inch brass dial, ringed winding holes, seconds dial, date aperture, five pillar movement with anchor escapement and inside countwheel striking on a bell, movement and dial circa 1710, later case, 244cm high CONDITION REPORT: 12.10.15, Case has been polished, general scratches and chips in places, trunk door with a deeper scratch, later lenticle and door lock, re-built plinth, when the hood door is closed you can see a slight gap between the dial edge and the dial wooden surround, dial is complete, movement and dial circa 1710, later case of the same period, with pendulum and two weights.
George III oak longcased clock signed Thomas Birchall, Nantwich, the square brass dial with a re-silvered chapter ring and field, subsidiary seconds and date aperture, on an eight day movement in a a blind fret hood with plain columns, on a quarter column trunk on set out plinth, height 220cm (pendulum, two weights, winding key). Condition report: All clocks and watches are sold without warranty. Comments regarding the going condition of clocks and watches relate to their state at the time of cataloguing and those comments may no-longer be correct at the time of sale or delivery. Buyers should assume that all lots will require servicing to be useable and reliable. Clocks and watches are not tested for accuracy, duration or water tightness. Dial has been re-plated or replaced; hole in hood; replaced feet, case renovated or reconstructed.
An oak 30 hour longcase clock, the twelve inch brass dial signed 'Jn. Wood, Stroud', subsidiary date (disconnected) in the foliate scroll engraved centre, the four pillar movement in a case with panelled plinth, fluted canted corners to the trunk, the hood with swan neck pediment flanked by fluted columns, 210cm high including finial. Provenance: A Private Collection in the Cotswolds.
A 1950s silk organza cocktail dress in gunmetal grey, fitted and pleated bodice over a full skirt, floral decoration of beads and sequins to the bodice and front of the dress, as worn by Eleanor Drew, musical actress in the Bristol Old Vic August 1954 production of "Salad Days" by Dorothy Reynolds and Julian Slade, also the original programme from the Vaudeville Theatre, Strand W.C.2 London and a photocopy of the label on the trunk where the dress was stored and a small copy of a photograph of Eleanor Drew.
A 19th Century Travel Trunk, Belonging to Capt. G.S. Higginson of the Royal Dublin Fusiliers, with original tin liner. Provenance: Capt. G.S. Higginson was reputed to have been born in Kildare, although the family name also has relations with Wexford. Later of the 2nd Battalion, in charge of 'F' company, later appointed remount officer. Illustrated in a photograph, and actions described in 'The Second Battalion Royal Dublin Fusiliers in the South African War' by Cecil Francis Romer and Arthur Edward Mainwaring. Recorded as a German Prisoner of War in 1914 after action at Le Cateau on the retreat from Mons.

An early 19th century mahogany longcase clock, the painted broken arch dial with Roman numerals, moon phase and subsidiary dials, the spandrels painted with flowers and having Greek key borders, the hood and trunk with barley twist columns, eight day movement, striking bell, signed to faux backplate, raised on bracket feet.
