There may have been some historic restoration to the base but it is very sympathetic and looks well. No obvious signs of damage or previous repair other than the odd small shrinkage crack to the hood. One of the rear pillars to the hood is cracked through.  Everything else appears to be fine. The door functions correctly. The glass is free from any chips or scratches. The putty appears original. The hinges appear original. Likewise the door to the case closes properly. The lock is not present but the hinges again appear original and function correctly.  The weights and pulleys are present as is the winding crank.  The dial presents nicely showing no undue wear or obvious sign of recent restoration.  The hands appear original. The mechanism appears clean and complete but we cannot warrant the authenticity of all components. The bell appears original. The clock winds, runs and sets but should be regarded as untested. The backboard has had some historic work but this is not recent. Prospective bidders are strongly advised to study all images closely prior to bidding.
