Two Similar Yixing Teapots and Covers, Qing dynasty, each modelled from a typical ruddy clay, the body in the form of a tree-trunk with a simulated wood-crack on the side, the loop handle and the opposite spout in the form of a gnarled prunus branch with a projecting blossoming twig, the snugly fitting flat cover with a prunus sprig knop, both impressed mark beneath the lid and indistinct mark on the base, 9.5cm., 3.75 in. and 9cm., 3.5 in.
