Note: John Mountjoy is a recorded Irish clockmaker working in Cork, circa 1820s.
An early 20th century mahogany longcase clock with eight day three train movement chiming on nine gongs with pull repeat mechanism, the 12-inch brass breakarch dial with silvered chapter ring and applied gilt Arabic hour numerals framing an engraved gilt centre with subsidiary seconds dial, lever at 9 o'clock of dial for 'Silent' or 'Hour Str.', lever at 6 o'clock for 'Strike/Silent' and lever at 3 o'clock for 'Westminster' or 'Chime on Eight Bells', the hood with swan neck pediment above a glazed door and Corinthian columns, the glazed trunk door with bevelled glass panels flanked by Corinthian corner columns, on a panelled base with blind fretwork borders above shaped apron and claw and ball feet, height 226cm, with pendulum, nine tubular gongs, three brass weights and a winder.

Note: Thomas Atkinson is a recorded Lancashire clockmaker working in Ormskirk between 1767 and 1786.
