Therefore it can be assumed this service was intended as a wedding present. Hood with later blind fret carved frieze. Main frame of hood reconstructed and showing signs of glue. Trunk with some veneer splits. The door with replaced hinges but generally in good original condition. Five-pillar movement recently overhauled and in good condition. Date aperture working. Dial is 10.5” wide
