An early 19th century oak and mahogany crossbanded eight-day longcase clock; the broken swan-neck pediment with a brass finial above a 12-inch painted dial with Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds dial and inverted U-shaped date aperture above the 6 o'clock position, signed 'Jn o Farnham - Bridport', the crossbanded rectangular trunk door with Anglesey-style bone shaped escutcheon, raised on short bracket feet (210cm high)Condition Report: There is a pendulum inside the trunk door. There are no weights included.
A George III style (later) heavily carved oak eight-day longcase clock; the broken swan-neck pediment surmounted by a brass finial and the broken arch dial with moon face mechanism, silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals and flanked by ornate pierced gilt-metal spandrels headed with cherubic-style masks, carved trunk and similarly carved baseCondition Report: There are eight strikers and a music box-style mechanism with a cylinder with 'teeth' pointing out of it. At the back there is also one, larger circular gong. Underneath the lower right-hand gilded spandrel there is a lever for eight bells and one bell.

Full title: After the antique: Diana de Gabies, patinated bronze, 19th/20th C.Description: H 53 cm Modelled standing in classical contrapost aside a tree trunk, adjusting her chiton. The figure represents the goddess Artemis, traditionally attributed to the sculptor Praxiteles. The original white marble statue, discovered in 1792 by Gavin Hamilton, became part of the Borghese collection and is nowadays part of the Paris Louvre collection (inventory number Ma 529).
