An 18th Century Oak Longcase Clock by Brice of Sandwich, the 12ins square brass dial with wide brass chapter ring (formerly silvered) with Roman and Arabic numerals, the engraved dial centre with subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture and with gilt brass leaf and scroll spandrels, to the eight day two train movement striking on a bell, contained in plain oak case, the hood with moulded cresting and four silvered wood finials and plain turned columns to hood, plain trunk door, 85ins high Note: William Brice recorded working in Sandwich (Kent). Apprenticed 1752. Died 1803.
A 19th Century "Scottish" Mahogany Longcase Clock, by James Craig of Glasgow, the 13ins diameter cream painted dial with Roman numerals and with subsidiary seconds and calendar dials to the eight day two train movement striking on a gong, contained in figured mahogany case, the circular moulded hood with shield and scroll carved cresting, the tapered trunk door with arched top mouldings and fluted canted corners, on panelled plinth base, 80ins high Note: James Craig recorded working Glasgow circa 1760
An Early George III Mahogany Longcase Clock, by William Knight Jnr. of West Marden, the 12ins arched brass dial with wide silvered chapter ring with Roman and Arabic numerals, subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture, the arch with rocking ship automaton, to the eight day two train five pillar movement striking on a bell, contained in figured mahogany case, the hood with shaped and moulded scroll pediment with carved head of a classical woman to centre and turned, fluted and brass stopped pillars to hood, arched trunk door flanked by brass stopped fluted quarter columns, the plinth base with applied astragal moulding, 91ins high Note: William Knight recorded working in Marden (a small village in the Weald of Kent) circa 1760
A modern burr elm carved jewellery chest, of naturalistic form with polished flat front, having four drawers with handles and a secret drawer revealed by puzzle blocks, all lined with red velvet, with label and tree mark for Box of Tricks to the base, 52 by 10.5 by 26cm high, together with a modern wooden stand, formed from a tree trunk, the branches with three wooden cross grain cut shelves, 51.5cm high. A vintage wooden box trunk with metal edges, studs and pins, later painted blue, with original papered interior and label for 'James Thorn, Box, Trunk and Portmanteau maker, 120 Hackney Road', 46 by 33 by 30cm high, together with a metal suitcase, with domed lid, in army green with white metal edges, corners and stud pins, 67 by 40 by 25cm high. A George III oak and mahogany eight-day longcase clock, with brass arch top dial, silvered chapter ring, moon roller and two subsidiary dials, 220cm high 23.02.21 Case is faded in parts, swan neck pediment is later, case with small chips in parts, some later added beading, trunk door is slightly bowed and the door lock is missing, dial is dirty, dial winding holes have been later drilled to fit a later eight day movement, later seatboard, pendulum suspension spring is broken, with two weights, movement is dirty.
A mahogany 8 day longcase clock circa 1830, 14'' arch painted dial with Roman numerals, with indistinct signature, 234cm. Case with surface scratches, the hood door with repairs, chips and cracks to the veneers, trunk door is slightly bowed with a piece chipped from the front left corner in need of restoration, front of the plinth with cracks and left side of plinth with cracks, dial is discoloured and stained in parts with minor chips and scratches to the paint work, the dial is indistinctly signed, hands are discoloured, one of the colets around one of the winding holes is missing, with pendulum and two weights, movement needs bell securing (bell and nut is present)
A Victorian welsh oak and mahogany 8-day longcase clock by John Griffiths (1868-1904), Carnarvon, circa 1890, broken swan neck pediment above an arched aperture flanked by two pair of bobbin columns, 36cm painted dial of a landscape on the arch, roman numerals, subsidiary dial, twin wind up keyholes, 8-day movement striking to a bell, moulded trunk flanked by half bobbin columns, moulded base raised on a plinth. 221cm H
A George III oak longcase clock by William Fenton, Newcastle, circa 1775, moulded dental pediment, 32cm brass arched face inscribed with makers name, moon phase and cast gilt foliate and c-scroll spandrels, Roman numerals and Arabic five minutes outer track, subsidiary seconds dial, twin 8-day wined up keyholes, 8-day movement, the arched door flanked by fluted columns, the trunk with moulded edge arched door flanked by quarter fluted columns, the base raised on bracket feet. 211cm H
Joseph Wilson of Stamford. An early 19thC flame mahogany longcase clock, the enamel break arch dial with moon phase, painted spandrels of cornucopia, the dial bearing Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds dial, eight day two train movement with bell strike, the hood with swan neck pediment and central urn surmount, foliate blind fret work, above a glazed door flanked by triple columns, brass capped, the trunk door with Gothic arch tracery flanked by triple columns, raised on a panelled base and ogee bracket feet, with pendulum and key, 255cm high. Joseph Wilson, circa 1820, is listed in Lincolnshire Clock, Watch & Barometer Makers (Wilbourn & Ellis) p.114.
Japanese Cloisonne enamel and hardstone Bonsai tree, together with other items including a Toleware Chestnut basket, cameras, binoculars, tassels and a wooden jardinere standCondition report: The Bonsai tree requires some attention lots of the leaves appear to be missing and the trunk has several chips and losses. Two of the feet are missing from pot and some of the edging is missing. Toleware has some dents and signs of later painting. Please see additional photographs
