A rare Leontine Rohmer glazed bisque shoulder swivel head fashion doll with trunk and trousseau, French circa 1860, the slightly tinted bisque head with finely painted upper glancing blue eyes, with darker lined upper lids, finely painted lashes and feathered brows, closed mouth and rouged cheeks, original sheepskin wig and cork pate with hairnet, the flat-cut swivel head to bisque shoulder plate and kid leather body with bisque lower arms and beautifully modelled hands, the kid body with eyelets for string to allow the doll to sit, original blue Rohmer stamp to chest and painted wooden ball joints to knees for posing doll, wearing a fine brown silk dress with turquoise trim, white cotton blouse, underclothes, socks and brown leather heeled boots, 14” (36cm) tall, (condition: in perfect condition, small split to kid leather at back of left thigh), together with her red leather trunk with paper label to interior lid ‘Poupee’, sectioned compartments and tray, her trousseau includes a black two piece skirt and jacket with red braid trim, buttons and black and red card boater, typical attire for bathing, a green and black striped gown with flared jacket and black lace trim, a mauve and black striped silk gown, flared velvet jacket with elaborate braiding and tassels, and a grey silk gown with black check pattern and jacket, with mauve detail, and a straw bonnet.

An Edwardian silver novelty pin cushion, Adie & Lovekin Ltd, Birmingham 1908, modelled as an elephant pulling a mother of pearl cart, elephant with fabric insert to reverse, 11cm long, 1ozt  Condition report: General silver polished residue is seen throughout, including the fabric insert to reverse. Possible repair/visible join to the silver on the underside of the shell. Wheels run. General scuffs, tarnishing and scratches seen throughout, commensurate with age and use. Shell shows minor nibbles to edges and blemishes to interior of well. Visible join to top of elephants head and joins to all four of elephants legs, joins appear smooth. Could possibly be repairs. (see images) Trunk shows lead residue, possibly repair join. Fabric insert is very worn. Hallmarks are worn General tarnishing seen, would benefit from a polish.

Toshi Yoshida - Plum Tree and Blue Magpie. 1911 - 1995. Framed. A fine colour woodblock print of a pair of blue magpie birds sitting on a moss-covered branch of an old plum tree nicknamed as Juzukake-no-ume. The trunk is beautifully detailed with rich subtle colour and calligraphic strokes to give it a rugged, textured appearance, and tiny buds can be seen on the smaller twigs. Another magpie looks up at them from the ground. Melting snow can be seen on the branches. The deep colors of the tree create a striking contrast to the soft, yellow sky. Signed and Titled in pencil. Format is Oban tate-e. Not examined outside of frame. - No flaws or problems of note viewable in frame. 30cm x 42.5cm frame inclusive.P
