A mahogany, chequer strung and boxwood outlined longcase clock by Moncrieff, South Shields, mid 19th century, the hood with a moulded pediment, above an arched glazed door, flanked to each side by a fluted Corinthian column, the trunk with an arched door, flanked by canted angles, with pine sides, on plinth base and ogee bracket feet; the 13in. painted dial decorated in the arch with a woman raking, the spandrels each painted with a building, the centre with Roman chapters, seconds subsidiary and calendar aperture, with pierced and embossed latten hands, inscribed above the VI 'MONCRIEFF / South Shields', the twin train movement with anchor escapement and striking on a bell, 214cm. high (2 weights, 1 pendulum, 1 key, 1 door key).
An early Victorian mahogany longcase clock by Barwise, London, the case with an arched pediment above the trunk with inset door on plinth base; the 12in. circular white painted dial signed 'BARWISE / LONDON', with subsidiary seconds and pierced hands, the twin train movement striking on a bell, 191cm. high (1 pendulum, 2 weights, 1 winding key).

An early 20th century German novelty mystery clock, by Junghans Clock Company, modelled as an elephant with raised trunk supporting the dial and pendulum, 24 by 10 by 27cm, together with a similar clock modelled as a young lady with outstretched arm supporting the dial and pendulum, 12 by 39.5cm high. A late George III black leather travelling trunk, with brass bound and studded decoration, brass shield shaped escutcheon, the lift lid painted with white lettering 'Sir Ed. Owen', the camphor wood interior with floral patterned paper lining, bearing paper label inscribed 'Ashoe, No. 5' and second paper label for a previous owner dated 1869, 106 by 53 by 51cm high, with key.Provenance: The Estate of Mr Joseph B.
