A 1920's figured mahogany cased grandmother clock, the 21 1/2" engraved brass dial with silvered chapter ring and strike silent lever to the eight day spring driven three train movement striking on eight gongs, contained in case with domed hood, the trunk with quartered matched veneer on bun feet. 167 cm high. CONDITION REPORT: Measurement across chapter ring 18.5 cm.
A 19th century figured mahogany and amboyna veneered lyre pattern wall timepiece, with 20 cm white enamelled dial, the trunk enclosed by a door inset with reverse printed glass panel depicting Phaeton, 122 cm high (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: This wall timepiece has various areas of damage and splitting including to the dial door and the main body. There is also damage to the reverse printed panel.
A George III oak and mahogany banded longcase clock, by Henry Brough Workington, with painted dial and 30 hour movement, the case with swans neck pediment to the hood, long trunk door and conforming base. Height 211 cm. CONDITION REPORT: This is a 30 hour clock and therefore only has one weight which is present. We also have the pendulum.
John Aburn (19th century Scottish School), oil on canvas shepherd and sheep in wooded landscape with gate. 78 cm x 107 cm in ornate original gilt frame (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The painting has three small areas of damage mainly to the centre upper centre where the canvas has been pierced with some paint losses. The canvas is slightly loose within the frame. There is some accumulated surface dirt. The canvas reverse is showing two affixed sticking plasters covering four of the areas of damage, two that have patched repairs. Looking at the trunk of the nearest tree there is a horizontal scratch sort of halfway, some of the painting is quite thin and in places the canvas is showing mainly to the tree foliage but also patches throughout the grass land, the gilt frame has cracks and wear throughout with some minor depletions but is generally as expected. The gilt slip has a hole drilled exposing the gesso.
An 18th century oak cased 30 hour clock by John Lawrence of Lancaster, the 29 cm brass dial with Roman and Arabic numerals, the centre engraved with leaves and with faux twin winding holes, to the movement striking on a bell, contained in case with turned pillars to hood, shaped trunk door and apron. 207 cm high.
A George III mahogany longcase clock by Robert Manley London, with eight day striking movement, long trunk door and panelled base raised on bracket feet. Height 220 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The movement winds on both trains and is currently ticking away and striking when advanced. The date wheel is present but currently detached from the movement and requires some attention. The dial has lost all of its silvering but is in generally good order. The hood door has a cracked glass. The trunk door is not warped. We have both the hood and trunk door keys and they do lock. The lock escutcheons are later. The case is in generally good condition with only minor blemishes. There is a stress fracture to the join running vertically on the bottom front panel. The plinth moulding seems to be raised on later short bracket type feet.
An early 19th century oak and mahogany crossbanded longcase clock, with movement by James smith of Wrexham, the 33 cm painted dial with calendar aperture to the eight day movement striking on a bell, contained in case with swan neck cresting, turned pilaster hood, the trunk with fluted quartered columns and later inlaid with checkered banding and shell paterae. 213 cm high. CONDITION REPORT: The movement winds on the left hand train and seems to wind on the right although the gut has slipped from the barrel. We have the key weights and pendulum but have not had the clock ticking. The movement looks reasonably clean. The hood is in generally good condition. There is some veneer loss above the left hand pillar. The hood door is not warped. The trunk door is also not warped. The lock escutcheon is missing. The sides of the case and base are in generally good order. The front panel has a centre stress fracture and some minor discolouration. Part of the lower base plinth moulding is missing on the right hand side and on the right hand return. The backboards are original. We can see no evidence of any woodworm.

A Continental Gilt Brass and Bronzed Spelter "Mystery" Timepiece, modelled in the form of a patinated spelter standing elephant with raised trunk holding aloft an integral case movement and pendulum, with Arabic enamel dial and blued finished hands, and raised on an oval walnut base, approximately 11.25ins highCondition Report - The mechanism has not been tested. When the key is wound it ticks for a few seconds and then stops. The case of the clock and attachments appear to be in good condition. The elephant equally appears to be in good condition with no obvious/damage/restoration
